As I sit here in 2024 this song has such a deeper meaning. My grandpa,and Nana who were Conway fans are now gone. The house with the tin roof I listened to rain on has been torn down. I lost a child,and that night it rained within my heart. I wish I could go back to those carefree,little girl days with family,tin roofs,and none of the loss that comes as we become the elders. On a brighter note maybe my grandpa,and Nana are holding my baby listening to Conway somewhere far better than here. Where all is peace,love,and music. 😊

Unfortunately, the artists totally failed to interpret the emotional tone of the song. It's about a guy who is so down on his luck and alone that he's living on boxcars, and these fools are laughing and joking about the rain, and singing in crazy high-pitched and loud tones.
