I'm so glad I got to see him in concert just about 3 months before he left this world. I saw him - George and Merle all together. Now they're all gone. But what a show it was. They were fantastic. I miss all of them. Outside of Alan Jackson- country music has gone to pot.

@ Austin Glen....I grew up listening to Conway Twitty....He was a true artist....I've watched numerous interviews with him....he was a very kind soul but a man of very few words....he loved his fans....and he also loved singing and putting everything he had into a song...he did not shake hands w/the audience or do anything to take away from that song he was singing...he was not being rude....he just sang from his soul. TRUE COUNTRY LEGEND is who this man was and will always be...there is NO ONE today that could even come close! Love me some Conway!!!

I am trying to find a concert that took place in Kings Mountain North Carolina some time in the 70's. My step father/best friend was there, he is 70 years old now and I wanted to give him a copy of this concert for a gift. Conway gave him a hat back then and I always tell my friends about this story he shared when I was a child. If anyone could help I don't even know if it was recorded by anyone back then but giving who it was I thought there was a good chance, I mean its Conway Twitty!!!!!! Thank you in advance for any time and effort anyone can give. Thank you

Apparently Conway's "show philosophy" was... they came to hear me sing, not talk. Twenty minutes into his show and still not one word to his audience? Not even a quick "Thank you" for their rousing and enthusiastic applause? ~oO(♪)Oo~

My mother, aunt, and cousins used to go see him whenever he was near. There was an amusement park, Lakeside, in Salem, VA, that he would visit. We would leave early in the morning to get there and get a seat for his night show. If you didn't get there at least six hours early, you didn't get a seat. Would love to find some of that footage! You missed something. You really did. He would stand and talk, signing autographs for at least an hour.
