The song, "I'd Love To Lay You Down" came out in 1981. I remember when my family was going to the Farmers Market, my grandmother was with us and this song came on the radio. My grandmother heard the song and said, "This is a dirty song". The second video was actually on an episode of "Family Guy". Conway Twitty has had cameos on "Family Guy" several times. He was also Darth Conway and Conway Bieber. Anyway, I've seen Conway Twitty in concert in 1981. I was 11 years old and my mom took me with her, because I have always been a country music fan.

That woman in the photos with him is Loretta Lynn. She is his singing partner in many songs. They sing a lot of love songs although they are not in love he is married to another woman and she is married to another man. Loretta Lynn is a great singer as well. She got married when she was only 13 years old and she's super Small Town Country. Her best hit I think was, You Ain't Woman Enough To Take My Man. Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty also have another good song called, Louisiana Woman Mississippi Man that they sing together.
@pennyprivate1205 жыл бұрын
Loretta Lynn grew up deep in the woods of Kentucky in a small town called butcher Hollow. She got married when she was only 13 years old. When she made her first big hit she was invited to be a guest on The Tonight Show. She did not know very much about City Life or the world. She was very innocent, naive, dumb and sweet. When she was invited to appear on The Tonight Show she went out and bought herself a pretty dress, and bought a pair of pantyhose which she had never worn before or didn't know how to choose the correct size. She saw queen size and thought that that looked good and bought those. She is a thin girl. When on The Tonight Show she got up to sing her big hit and as she was singing her pantyhose fell down to her ankles. She was so embarrassed. But everyone in the audience laughed, applauded, and loved her and thought she was so sweet and that it was cute.

I was fortunate enough to see Conway live in concert a few months before his death. It was a great show but what I remember most was these ladies sitting in front of me before the show. There was 6 or 7 of them, all in their late 50's and one of them had a picture of Conway that she hoped she would be able to get autographed later. They were all gathered around the picture (the same picture used on the cover of his "Silver Anniversary Collection" CD). They were just going on and on like a group of school girls talking about how handsome he was and how he only got better with age. Apparently sex appeal is not just for the young. Conway had it right up to the end.
