Conwy has been a favourite castle of mine since I first saw it in 1985! I love the history, and the size, and that it's by the water!

Isn't it just beautiful? It was our first time visiting Conwy Castle & i wish all the years we've been in North Wales that we would have explored here more, but no regrets as it was a delight to wander, the battlements were a favourite! Practically home from home for me. I was born and raised in North Wales and lived on the coast for nine years, visiting the castle several times. We were supposed to be stopping in North Wales next month (but it got cancelled) and this was on my to see list. Such an impressive castle, even today, still a majestic sight. We hope to do North Wales next year and this has really wetted my appetite! Cheers Alan

It is a very interesting Castle to wander around as are many of Edwards Welsh fortresses, did you do the circular town Wall walk, Beaumaris on Anglesea is a good one. Do you know that if you join English Heritage, Castles in Wales and Scotland are half price.

Thanks for watching the video, we did part of the wall to the town and back, but it was crazy busy at that point, anxiety took over! We've been members of E H for around 3 years now and it's served us VERY well hehe, but it's fantastic that they offer that in Scotland also as that's somewhere we are planning end of year too, do you have an E H membership? We're going to get the National Trust one too as we go on many walks and they have some beautiful properties! Have a lovely weekend!

@@PinnedonPlaces It is a nice stroll and walking in the footsteps of history, literally. Yes we are recent members of EH, when our two were kid's we were members of Scottish Heritage, we joined at Caerlaverock Castle and then just went on a Scottish Castle tour, purely random, you will absolutely love it up there. When we got back from Scotland we joined EH and were members for about 3-4 year's. We recently just rejoined and it's already repayed itself in 3 visits haha, we still enjoy a picnic and a hot tea in nice surroundings. All the very best to you and your partner.

That's a pretty epic huge ass castle! I'd always be curious to try and find underground tunnels at such places, but I'm pretty sure they sealed everything off here, it being so touristy. By the way in the start of the vid you somehow repeated some bits of your info (not very annoying, just saying).
