@@misspowers3857 no its not easy to do, my son is the lover of all kinds of nuggets and what i call "white meals". I work full time and while I am not going to grad school I am trying to study lacation to become an IBCLC and have a 2 year old and one on the way. I try to cook as much as I can but also being a nutritionist is a double edged sword along with a metablic rare disease that doesn't allow me to eat what i prepare for my family. My son has had his share of my "quick dinners" (hamburger helper or spaghetti-o's) as well. We can not be too hard on our selves (or others), you are slaying the mom game Miss Powers & Mary Hunt. We all should be kind to one another and support each others momming game! When I complimented Kristine I was in no way disregarding working moms as I am one and so is she. She works hard at her meals and her channel as well as her teaching! EACH MOMS LIFE LOOKS DIFFERENT WE CANNOT GO AROUND JUDGING OTHER MOMS AND WOMEN, WE SHOULD BE SUPPORTING EACH OTHER, because we are all killing it! So with that! I applaud all MOMS! Stay at home, working, student moms, grandparents raising grandkids, moms to one, fur moms, moms to multiples, work from home moms, the list goes on and on! Stop judging, start supporting and lifting.

Thank you for supporting blood donations. I work in a hospital laboratory and the need is always there. The blood inventories can be exhausted very quickly and donations are a challenge during these times. And on another note wrap your meat in press n’ seal before freezing (then place in a freezer bag) and your meat will never freezer burn and will look as fresh as the day you bought it.

Yup! My eldest is a great eater, so I arrogantly thought I just did a better job than parents with picky kids! Then along came my youngest.....even at weaning stage, he was just not having it! We eat a wide range of food, mostly all home made and he barely eats anything except cucumber and lettuce, plain rice and plain pasta! At 5 he’s a bit more reasonable and I can coax him to try things, but it’s usually a miss.

In Romania we make this bean paste with garlic, salt and a bit if oil. Separate we sautee diced onions until soft with tomato puree. We spread the bean paste on the bread and add the onions on top and it is delicious because the onions and tomato are sweet and they go really well with the garlic bean paste.

How people manage with working and the schools shutting... in my case we don’t! I’m working from home now, in the Uk I’m classed as a key worker during this thing (although my work weren’t really equipped for it so I’ve literally got my office pc set up on my dining table!) kids are home, school are providing work online but mine are 10 (very clever but with the shortest attention span ever) and 5, so not really reading fully yet, so they both need constant encouragement, which I can’t give because I’m working! I’m just winging it and they’re not doing a whole lot of school work!

Tip for your deep freezer -- pick up a few of those large re-usable quasi-cloth/plastic grocery bags and organize the contents with those. The long handles will make it easy to pull out a bag full of ground beef or whatever, and they'll be stackable if you put a piece of cardboard on the bottom of the bags.

I make naan bread pizzas, but my "sauce" is paper thin sliced roma tomatoes, drizzled with a little olive oil, salt n pepper, then fresh basil....then whatever toppings you like as well, we do cooked chicken, bacon and mozzarella & parmesan cheese...... hubby likes ranch or bbq on his.

Cracked up when you smelled the cheese like it had gone bad and now your whole dinner idea is ruined then looked at the date, "Oh we're good!" So relatable!!! Thank you for entertaining and useful content!

I am planning to buy a house and you have given me so many ideas about saving food and buying in bulk during sales. But one thing I think I would do is to write an inventory of what I put in my freezers and when and were. I know that may get to be a bit much after a while but I’m such a planner.

Your videos make me feel homesick in the best way possible. My husband and I live out on the West Coast but my parents are still back in the Midwest, which is where I grew up. Watching your channel reminds me of my mom and really helps brighten my day. Thanks for the videos and hope you and your family stay safe!

as a middle eastern person, I second the "what's that about?" for chocolate hummus....but yeah, hummus has to be made with chickpeas; hummus is literally arabic for chickpeas.

Chocolate hummus still has chickpeas, it just also has chocolate and it’s really good haha can be used on crackers, cookies, strawberries, etc... a slightly healthier way to snack but still have a sweet tooth.
