I love how relateable watching Al cook is. Just... yelling at the ingredients through the whole process, pleading that all you want to do is make food. :P Also the inevitable failure and disappointing final product. That's very relateable too...

Lol Al I love that you're using Jameson still as a censor even after all these years. Shit I remember the first time we met jameson. His flat delivery in that otherwise large mod will be remembered for all time, even when I'm kicking my legs back and forth in the elderly care home. Good times Al, it's nice to pop back in for a visit and immediately get that sense of coming home to old friends. Just like war, Al, Al never changes.

And it makes me almost cry everytime I look at his channel now, less and less views for each videos, never any sponsers, my brother, you NEED to expand your audience, there's hundreds of thousands of people out there that want what you are making, and they don't have any strong way to discover you!

Me, an actual baker: Oh god, this is going to be horrible and amazing. Me, seeing Al take a lick of meringue from the still plugged-in mixer: AL, NO. As for the lemon not hardening up, Al, when they told you to put the water-cornstarch mixture in, did you mix the cornstarch into the water first or did you just pour them both in? You pretty much have to have the cornstarch completely dissolved in the water for it to 'activate' its special hardening properties! It should look like milk. I 100% messed up a dessert like this when I first started my job. :P When in doubt, just add more of that cornstarch/water mixture. Other than that, you did a pretty good job. I lol'ed at using a bottle to suck egg yolks up.

Making lemon pie filling from scratch & meringue from scratch is the hard way. Easier with box pudding mix & ready to use whipped cream or cool whip instead of the meringue. Much faster too.
