Wow your boys are not only hard workers but also very intelligent for such a young age. They are truly living the life. While other teenagers are causing hell yours are learning valuable lessons on becoming knowledgeable humans. Growing up in your family is truly wonderful. I am 72 and I would have loved to have grown up in your family.

As a Michiana area maple syrup producer I couldn't help but notice your pans and how they are set on the stove. The first cooker I made was very similar to yours. However I found out that if you set the pans so the heat only contacts the bottom and not up the sides (yours are recessed into the stove) the scorched black color of your syrup should go away leaving you with a much better color.

Your family is endlessly industrious and creative with God’s bounty. Such a wonderful video and again, I really love watching how both Ethan and Justin model your behavior as they show their younger siblings how to do things and then allow them to practice and become proficient. It was so cute watching the close ups of Wyatt and Chloe tasting the sap right out of the trees. Chloe is a mini me of her daddy! Avalon was so strong chopping wood in her pjs. I love your family so much and it makes me happy to see how much you’re all enjoying your new home.

This is my new favorite video! The dedication the kids had to have to make the final syrup is amazing. I am so fond of the kids in this family. I'm actually very fond of the entire family. I love the lessons you and Priscilla teach your kids and you have so much patience with them. You're certainly a family any young family could look up to as role models. I saw on facebook Wyatt had to have the tip of one finger cut off. Please hug him for me. I feel so bad for him and hope he recovers quickly.

It seems the boys even did their own research to learn how to get the sap and the process to make the syrup. Not many kids would even do half that, but they did everything!!! You have such AWESOME AND SMART KIDS!!!! There is nothing they won't be able to accomplish in life!!! Proof of great parenting, faith, love, patience, and parents that take the time to teach & praise their kids for all they do!!!

Another great video! I learned so much about how syrup is made. I didn't realize it took so much work. I think y'all can do anything you put your mind to. You conceive it in your heads & then figure out a way to accomplish it...amazing. Your new home is beautiful! Y'all are so blessed to have a close family, teaching your children hard work, respect, love, the love of God & importance of faith. Oh, so many in society could learn a lesson by observing your family. I always look forward to you next video. God bless all of you!❤❤

For a lighter color: Reverse Osmosis kit which concentrates the sap up to 15 - 20% succerose then into the evaporator but slowly cooking only to evaporate the water and in the kitchen also slowly simmer up to ~ 67°Brix For the Refraktometer you should calebrate with H²O dest. (destilled Water) like your wife uses for her iron.

Get some lowes or home depot bucket. Then get a hook and screw in tree and let tube drain in buckets. It's easy to just wash buckets out.. it takes 40 gallons of sap to make a gallon of syrup after its cooked down. When it doesn't stay below freezing at night, season is over.. do you have some buckets that you can wash and sterilize really well to using instead of jars. No chemicals should have been used in them. Depending on when in the season you get it the color is different. It is lighter in the beginning and toward end of season it gets darker. I cook mine outside in a stainless turkey toaster.

Joas; does your family cork the trees after each collection year, so the trees can continue to bathe in their natural nutrients? I heard the trees live longer. Then each year the corks are removed and your drainage spools can be reinserted the next year. Let me know if my information is correct. We love your family shares and especially how everyone works together. God bless as always.❤
