Yes Ma’am! We grew up eating black eyes, leftover ham from Christmas, turnip greens and a big pan of cornbread! Thank you for sharing your method. Have a blessed day!

😂kitty thought it was feeding time with the aound of those beans. I Love black eyed peas. Haven't had any in years and now i really want aome. I spied the black cat behind you. I didn't realize you had 2 now❤. I have 2...the least amount I've had in almost 20 years. Wish i could retire and have like 4😊

Yes, I have 2 now, and don't know what I'd do without them. My senior kitty, Baby, died two years ago, and I decided I didn't want another cat, at least not right away. But, the day before Baby died, my neighbor rescued the gray kitten that I named Smokey. I resisted but took Smokey anyway. He was the cutest little thing and only weighed 6 ounces. Two weeks later, my daughter-in-law was walking her dogs and rescued the black and white kitty, Tux, who was all alone under a bush. It turned out that they were the same age, and I have raised them like litter mates. They rule the roost, so to speak, and try to keep me in line. I'm so thankful for them.

I've never seen hog jowl in my stores, but hamhock is usually readily available. I like to cook my collard greens with hamhock.

Yes, they are good for seasoning a lot of veggies.

By the way, I use hog jowl and ham hock interchangeably.
