Now that I am older (79) my holidays are so different from my youth. Family members have passed and friends no longer traveling. But I also have my rescue Puggle and we have our own special holiday rituals. Walks and talks. I no longer have a tree ( I liked the lights best anyway) so I have lots of battery candles and lights all around. It suits who I am now. I hope you have found your path ❤

I felt the same about Christmas this year - the last couple of years, we've had snow at Christmas, but this year only rain, and it was particularly gloomy outside. It just adds something, to have the snow or even frost. I hope you and Mandu had a lovely Christmas with your family. I've also added rye to my morning hot cereal rotation, thanks to you!

The tea cup on the saucer brought me back to my childhood home in Manitoba. We had meals and tea times. I remember some days my mother laughing as she would be placing the saucer with the cup, she would laugh if the wrong saucer went to the wrong cup. We would laugh and as we made it right. We had many pretty patterns mostly flowers.

Your new home looks wonderful and your kitchen is lovely. Love your dining room table celing lamp- prefer your modern vs the antique but I'm becoming more minimalist in my age so that aesthetic is one i now love. I loved antiques and teapots at your age. Recipe is great but you lost me at sprats- definitely a Scandinavian taste profile 😂. God jul to you and Mandu. He remains adorable- almost, almost as adorable as my dog😉

Dearest Friend! Mandu is so content in your new apartment home. Until you revealed exactly how small your last place was in the last video, I thought that the last place was ideal. How small, indeed, was your last kitchen!! It must be a dream to use your new kitchen. I am so happy for you guys. Here in Western Canada, Christmas was slow. Both my Mother In Law's, and my brother's families were unavailable for visiting this year, so our feasting was halved. The mail service has finally come off its Strike, but my wife's gifts will not arrive until well into January. We didn't send Family & Friends their regular Christmas Card and Letters this year either. But whatever befalls us, Christmas still comes and we celebrate the Birth of Jesus. Just the gift that the world needs! ❤❤❤ from Canada! F&A
