Caraille or, as it is also called, Bitter Melon is veryyyyy bitter and not liked by many people. I, however, LOVE it (notice the emphasis with the use of the CAPS lol) with dhal and rice! Some people also eat it with roti but I prefer the rice and dhal. When we made this, I had it with dhal, rice, curry duck and coconut chutney!
Check out the recipe for coconut chutney here:

In Trinidad we call it Caraille...try frying it or use curry. It's delicious 😊

I’ve also heard to it being referred as bitter gourd. I just discovered this plant. I grew up around and didn’t like it as a child but as an adult it has quickly become a staple in my diet…

when the juices are squeezed out from the bitter melon, the medicinal properties of this veggie is greatly reduced.

That's how my grandmother makes it...crispy!...i like it either way... but prefer it like this...i might do a video with her cooking it one day to see the differences. So many different ways to make the same dish but that's what i love about cooking and food on the whole!

I feel like you be trying to get that greeting out so fast out of fear people start questioning why you're using it. 😄 Relax, as long as you're not radical, people are fairly ok with it.
