My Kenwood Chef is from 1974 en.....still works fine!!!!!!!

Mine also worked fine, but it was all plastic. There's no comparison to this one, if you see the attachments, they are heavy, solid steel, very hard-working, especially on dough and such. The only thing I fear with computerized stuff is that if one of the electronic parts is messed up it's expensive to repair and impossible in some cases.

Mine is 10 years old, as I sold my previous version from 1983!.. I like this one, but I enjoy the act of cooking ! ps young man cooking, no need to add salt at all, you already had salty cheese there TWICE!

I started with a secondhand A701 which eventually stopped working. Then got an A901 which is still working but when I used it last week, I noticed the motor sounded rough and it seemed to be labouring a bit. Visited my friend this Monday and we also visited her sister. The subject of my Kenwood came up and she said she had one she doesn't use and she very generously gave it to me. It's a KM300. She wouldn't take a penny for it, only wants one of my banoffee pies. Tried out the KM300 last night and it works fine. All the attachments I have for the A901 fit it as well so that is good. I do wonder if my next Kenwood will be the XL. They really are great machines. The first one I can remember is my late Grandmother's one. I don't know what model it was but it was from sometime in the 1950s. She had the liquidiser attachment and the soups she used to make were delicious. She also made wonderful milkshakes with it.

Why did you not use a Kenwood food processor for chopping - I love mine:)

I was wondering why they have not included a chopper inside the bowl like in the thoemomix. then it would be prefect

@@estherlonkri9756 They have a perfectly good food processor/chopper you can put on the high-speed outlet on top. But frankly, for those quantities, it's quicker by hand. I wouldn't get out the food processor for one onion, one garlic and a bunch of parsley. For this I have a mini-chopper or my hands.

@Dave Derrick: Do you really use it for ONE onion? By the time I assemble, chop, disassemble and wash it, I'll have chopped ten onions by hand.

Adding cream cheese to risotto to make it creamy means 2 things: it's not risotto and the person that wrote the recipe does not like risotto.

Only if you find a buyer on your own on Marketplace or elsewhere. I did that, but mine was 30 years old and I could only get 150 euros for it.
