I cook myself up a traditional trucker style meal while living out on the road. A viewer who is a lorry driver himself sent me a recipe to try out and i was surprised at the result! #cooking #vanlifeuk #tinyhouse

Check out my title on KZbin, for eating without washing up. Oddly enough I ate same thing as you couple of nights ago. Check out at supermarkets Princess Creamy Chicken goes very well with spuds veg and mushrooms.

Ha, Ha, Ha😂 that hook like implement you stabbed the tin with was in fact your tin opener!! The other one was the bottle opener!! Stay safe out there and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure! Regards from deepest Dorset 👍

A quick meal is tin of sardines, small tin of beans and cheese mix together and heat gently, serve on or with bread and butter, a old biker/camp dish.

Another great addition for vanlife cooking is a ridge monkey, great bit of kit it is marketed as a sandwich toaster but is also great for fry ups steaks etc, many of KZbin videos on it.

Those are the type of meals I cook in my van. Quick to heat and or microwave rice. No 20 mins plus of steam or gas usage to cook from scratch. That looked well good with the crusty bread.

Great looked ok, then who cares if your hungry. Try Lidl's tinned hot chicken curry, and microwave rice (done in a pan) ok in an emergency😁.

My old van had house batteries but one day a wire came loose and set some stuff on fire in the front passenger foot well. If a dodgy fire extinguisher hadn't been there the entire van (which was a combo of crappy van plus all of my possessions) would have gone up in smoke. I am now in another van and have 3 fire extinguishers all at a different door. I learned a lot that day, most importantly how to use a fire extinguisher.
@Nomadickangoo2 жыл бұрын
Wow sorry that happened to you! Yes I feel I need to invest on a fire extinguisher for sure!

Hello I hope that you are well, I have been thinking about the Citroen Berlingo which I think is like yours, what do you think of putting a really thick rug down on the floor, and then using a really good folding camping chair to sit on, with a good quality camping table, I have a blow up foam mattress, I thought that could just go on the thick rug on the floor with a sleeping bag, kindest regards.
@Nomadickangoo2 жыл бұрын
Hey, so you might struggle with the length of the van, I can't lay flat in the back, I had to make and extending bed to maybe up the extra room. So a blow up mattress might not fit length ways. But apart from the size I think it's a great idea to get a van for camping trips!

Step stool cheap to buy but would cooking on it behind the passenger door actually help you. Use as a seat if need be. I sure wouldn't take much room up. Let me know.
