I would love to do van living. But in my country it is so expensive to own a car (roughly £10,000 a year) due to parking costs, road tolls and road taxes. Which is more than my yearly rent.

If you get this fixed and you do get rid looking at some of the replies to other comments, I've had an nv200 for coming up 2 years now and its not had any problems, not a full time thing so havent put the miles on it you might but it has done me well all over england/wales. But still be carefuly and I havent actually researched into any possible common problems etc, the first one I bought which was suspiciously cheap and in a run down state which I should have walked away from, did have an issue and started spewing clouds out the back, luckily happened on way home from the cheap used car dealer and with a bit of a struggle over several weeks and the threat of legal action eventually managed to get them to take it back and got my money back. But this one which like the first is also a 13 plate but just looked well looked after has been solid. Smaller than the vivaro but enough space for a self build full length sofa/bed and a unit with fridge, cupboards, sink etc and a camping stove on top. But when this is all behind you hopefully sometime soon the good times will feel so much better for it

Had that on my Renault. It was injector module failure. Basically computer controlling injectors. Took Renault dealer over 24 visits and 18 months to figure it out. I feel your pain. Good luck.

Looks like injectors problem, white smoke. Probably one of them is faulty, hard to know which one until you open it up.

1.Could try to sell as it is, use the jeep until you get your money back. Or 2.Put new engine in, sell at a trader. 3.Continue to try to fix the issue. I heard you say about it being the DPF, there are companies that professionally clean them, and any good mechanic would suggest cleaning it or/and replacing it, but not by revving the engine to regen. I know vivaros have an injector issue also. Sometimes the DPF gets so blocked up that it just needs replacing, i had a van and it was blocked, went into limp mode, ended up trying to regen it myself but it was making holes in the manifold due to excess heat.. Absolute nightmare! Hope you can come up with a solution, something always goes wrong at some point doesnt it!

If you recall my comment about getting an nv200 combo 5 or 7 seater due to it being an M1 class vehicle (like a normal car) instead of a van M2 class. Even though it’s still a van, it’s got a roof lining and carpet you can remove and insulate. There’s furniture made ready to fit on eBay for them. And the best part? You can’t get her back mate (Kangoo) but you can shagg her big cousin the Nissan 😉 eh shagger? 💪🤣 I’ll convince you believe that haha

Hey, were the vent you installed a year ago still works fine? Im getting a lot A LOT of condensation in my van due to me sleeping in there. I was wondering if you been sleeping in there the past year u had any problems with condensation and also any water leaks from rain?

Sorry, being harsh here. But you still have your health and options. Recently, for the 2nd time, I've gone through a life changing event where I was scared of the future. Because I am currently waiting on a mri scan to tell me if I have cancer or not. Never be too hard on yourself mucka every day is a challenge. Money or no money van or no van. My daughter is going through a divorce at the moment and being kicked out of her home. It's all gone, Pete tong! But just keep saying today is a good day. I'm here, and I'm alive. All the very best to you. You will get back on that road, literally 😊 BTW get a German van my van has done 156000 miles no problem
