Hello Rion! I have been watching your videos for a week now. I love your positive & happy vibes, because it makes my homesickness a little less heavy. Since the Pandemic, I haven’t seen my family in my home country. Your videos make me think of visiting Japan more & more, which is number one in my bucket list of countries to visit. I like the fact that you were born & raised in a Christian family. I wish you can be my tour guide when I finally visit Japan. Meanwhile, let’s keep walking! God bless you!

Rion, you seem to be pretty competent in the kitchen and I enjoy your cooking videos and going to the grocery store to discuss options and prices. Is cooking something you learned in school or from your Mom or some other way? What foods from other countries where you have been do you wish you could find (reasonably priced) in Japan?

When I saw the teaser on your IG story, it didn’t cross to my mind that this is Gyoza because the Gyoza I know is different from this one 😂 We can really say that things are evolving. However, I can tell that this is delicious and it made me & my mom crave for it. Also, we realized that we can use seafood filling for the Gyoza *and we are now very curious on Kimchi Gyoza 😆 * Definitely we’re going to try this 👍 Thanks again Rion for granting our request! We, your viewers, also love your cooking videos because aside we’re learning new easy Japanese food recipes, they’re also unique or something twist on it like this one. Take care always and stay safe! 😊 P.S.1: we appreciate that you didn’t put any background music on the part where you’re cooking because hearing the raw sizzling sound really made us hungry 😋Also, we love the close-up angle so that we can appreciate more the beauty of the dish. 👍 P.S. 2: How I really wish that it’s possible to happen where in one snap, everything will be clean and okay. 😂

I love Japanese markets. Its so nice that you can buy smaller amounts of food so there is less food waste. Here in Hawaii, they make you buy too much if you are single.

Ever heard of a freezer? The only thing I can think of that you really can't freeze are raw potatoes. (Not sure why you'd want to do that though)
@perdomot3 жыл бұрын
@@ejay52 I basically live out of the food in my freezer so I prefer to have food as fresh as possible. For example, the bakery at my Safeway has a lot of stuff but most are in big plastic containers. Don't want 6 croissants at one time and they don't sell stuff in smaller batches or individually.

I thought it was interesting the store even had English up on the wall indicating what products were in that area. And I’d never seen open-ended gyoza before. I sometimes cheat with frozen gyoza and steam first, then quick fry in pan to color/crisp the bottoms.
