Hunting and Cooking Porcupine in the Kalahari Dessert, Africa! Spear hunting the porcupine whilst in its hole and plucking the porcupine quills out before cutting the back skin off and cooking it like crackling on a pig. After cutting the back skin off we smear it with oil and spices. Then we cut it up into strips of meat and use them to make wraps.
BushFam Cooking is Africa’s Wildest Cooking Channel on KZbin!
We’re Peter and Rina, and we greatly enjoy sharing our cooking methods by projecting a hunter-gatherer lifestyle in the Kalahari Desert.
Through our BushFam Cooking KZbin Channel, we’re aiming to show a whole new audience our wild cooking methods and our sustainable approach to the remote yet beautiful place we call home.
You may have seen all types of Primitive Technology Cooking videos on the internet but we are NOT the same! By showcasing our progressive cooking methods to the world, we believe we can help our community.
Come join us as we cook some amazing dishes such as;
Nile Crocodile
Kalahari Warthog
Wild Chicken
We hunt, catch and cook in most of our episodes but occasionally we purchase our ingredients from the local market. Sometimes we even import foods from foreign counties!
We like cooking indigenous African ingredients and putting a foreign twist to it.
By using the National Flags of a country we try to appeal to our audience and use an inspired ingredient indigenous to that specific country. Eg: Prawn Curry for India, Ostrich Burger for America, Ostrich Egg Breakfast for Britain, Kalahari Style Sushi for Japan, Ostrich Schnitzel for Germany etc
We respect all the National Flags from each country and hope you enjoy each episode by sharing the video with your friends.
