Hey everyone! Just to clarify, I understand Shiro is made with other ingredients, but my family prefers to cook the shiro this way. As as I am told this mitin shiro has already been made with other ingredients so it has lots of flavor. I will definitely make it again with garlic, onions, and ginger and give it a try!
@Miti9653 жыл бұрын
As a child me and my sister used to hate onions in shiro so my mother made it without it. My sister still prefers shiro without onion and garlic. So for me it’s ok to remove things that you don’t like. As you mentioned mitin shiro has all the ingredients when it gets prepared.
That’s why I was wondering where onion and tomato and so on but it look nice u got nice family

I’m Ethiopian and I’ve never seen shiro cooked like that. I mean without onions, garlic ....🤯
@ruthlulu60323 жыл бұрын
Mitin shiro already has the garlic and onion in it when it’s prepared, so you don’t really need to add it when you cook.

I used mitin shiro too, anyways I’ll also try this way
@missabyssinia22933 жыл бұрын
@@meron612 I’ve always cooked Mitin Shirro with onions, garlic, and tomatoes too. I was a bit skeptical because it seems too simple this way lol but I gave it a shot for the first time about a year ago and never looked back! With a few slices of garlic at the end and kibe👌🏾.
I’m just now seeing this but this is so beautiful! The tomato/jalapeno/lime dish is like our own Ethiopian pico de gallo haha! Love it 🤍
@WithLoveSarah3 жыл бұрын
First time seeing shiro made this way, looks simple and easy am going to give this one a try. The steps of the shiro I know and make is, first sautee onion with a bit of oil, once the onions are nicely cooked then add diced fresh tomatoes cook for a bit more and then add some minced garlic, let that cook for few minutes more and add hot water then miten shiro and wisk so there are no lumps of shiro, cook on a medium till bubble are gone, then add jalapeno and salt to taste. I am sure you are going to make another shiro recipe soon 😘😍you did good though keep it up konjo 👍😍😍

Yum looks delicious, 👍 📹, your 👪 family way of making Shiro is very simple & basic because Shiro is already well-seasoned....the way I ate it as a "kiddo" & make it at home today is using 🧄🧅 jalapeños 🧂salt / black pepper & herbs, coriander , 🍅..& salad 🥗 on the side with Injerraa😋 #BonAppétit!
