Jelena, if you want to cook sinigang either you buy a fish, Bangus, Maymaya, Lapu-lapu, Talakitok, Salmon and Tuna fish. They are those variety of fish that are good for sinigang dishes. Thank you Jelena for loving our foods. Goodluck and God bless.
@3dots166Ай бұрын
I think not for Lapu-lapu. Lapu-lapu has a loose meat and not meant for a soup. That's why the main dish for Lapu-lapu is escabeche, you need to fry it to make fish meat intact when cooked.
@cjtime2689Ай бұрын
Really love the reactions of emma… when she first try the soup”do we have rice?” Hahaha filipina thing❤ and in the last part she really enjoyed the sinigang with a bowl of rice. Perfect emma padalhan kita isang sakong bigas luto na lahat😂😂 love you guys. God bless to you all
It nice to have Emma and Dominic help in the proparation. That's a good education for them and always buying readily cooked meals is expensive in the long run. There are also different variations of sinigang.

Put the hard veggies first like string beans, gabi , talong, heart of banana, etc. plus green chili (specific for sinigang). You can also add sigarilyas. Add fish sauce to taste.

Maybe you would also like: 1.Adobong pusit (squid, blackened by squid ink) 2.fresh coconut gata in dishes called: -Laing (dried gabi leaves) -gimataang chicken (with tomato, carrot, bell pepper) -pakbet(squash, eggplant, string beans) -ginataang fish (usually tilapia, with pechay) (*vegetable dish can be with either chicken, pork, shrimp, even beef)

Jelena your correct, cooking together with kids participation is good learning to them memories that would be remembered when they grow up. Hi Jelena. You Should also try putting , “Taro (Gabi)”. It makes the Sinigang taste better and more filling. They are small oval shape looking root vegetables. You skin it like potatoes and boil it in the Sinigang until soft. When it softens, it has a nice velvety milky texture plus it’s very good for the digestive system and great source of Vitamin C , B6 and E. When I eat Sinigang, I love mashing the Taro(Gabi) over rice with the Sinigang. Taste so good!!😋

The best soup in my life! Your daughter is so sweet like her beautiful mom and your pretty boy son appreciated the best soup even though he is picky on his food. Just taste a bit of it and soon you will love the taste of a Filipino cuisine. Nutritious veggies, fresh fruits, the bounty of the sea and meat in Davao, the Durian capital of the Philippines. My family loves all varieties of durian 😊 Just like how you like durian 101❤🫰 Is durian 101 the puyat variety?
