You threw in the rosemary and butter way too early, these go in after you flip otherwise you're just burning the butter and rosemary. Try throwing in the butter / rosemary during the list 90 seconds of searing and you'll notice a big difference in flavor. Also another tip - the side of the steak that has the fat, you need to grab some tongs and render the fat by just pressing the fat into the pan since that takes longer to cook than the lean meat, if you look at the raw meat before you cook it, you'll notice the steaks have a solid patch of fat on one side, just press that side against the pan for an extra 45 seconds to a min to let the fat render before throwing them in the oven.
@karenbrower99522 жыл бұрын
Crispy rosemary is quite tasty. You need the oils to be released into the olive oil.
@andrewvaldez97122 жыл бұрын
It’s even better to trim some of the fat around the steaks and use in pan to fry the steaks it won’t burn has a high burn temp and add butter to that

Nice video. Enjoyed it. (was wondering though, since you are seasoning the steaks right in the packaging, you never washed them?) --- I remember one time at the meat counter, and the guy that was cutting and slicing meat, sneezing all over the place like there was no tomorrow. Personally, and also with meat sitting on that soaked paper underneath, I prefer to give them a cold rinse, than pat them dry with a paper towel.
@deviaunaashmore22913 жыл бұрын
A lot of people say you don't have to rinse or wash meat due to bacteria 🤦♀️ but I can't wrap my mind around not washing and rinsing mine off n cleaning the area afterwards. They are too lazy to clean afterwards

Thank you Shawn! For a stove top, 4 is a bit tough. You can sear two at a time and then put all of them in the oven at once. I’ve done that before and it turned out well. You can cover the first two in tin foil so they don’t lose heat while you’re searing your last two.

*Just come here to see the comments. Doesn’t matter how you cook the steak, instead of people offering how they do it, they tell you you did it wrong, and how you should do it. Those are the people who worry about controlling others actions, instead of their own. The rest are trolls commenting on a popular video so they can get more attention than on a video with no views. Wouldn’t the world be a lot better place if we worked on controlling our own actions instead of others? Ha ha*

Hey Linda! I hope it turns out great! I'm actually not sure what the brand of pan with the grill/griddle is. However, I started using a T-fal frying pan since this video and any pan rated for 350 degrees or more will work. When you're looking at pans they typically say what temperatures they can withstand. The grill mark pans are nice but not necessary.

DMurph & Pri-Pri, Smelled delicious yummy steak! 😄 Believe or not I haven’t been eating steak for a long time, many years! You’ve reminded me of what I used to love. Thanks! I kinda failed my first T-bone try, since no butter in my refrigerator, but it was still good! I just purchased another one and butter! I hope I can make one as close to as you’ve made! 😁 You are a very good cook! 👍
