Thx for the recipe, I'll give it a try. To pull your tailgate up from the inside use flat nylon webbing. Run it thru the crack at the bottom of the tailgate, up & around the tailgate & you have a pull cord. As for the cracks, try pipe insulation A.K.A. a noodle, or weather stripping for doors. Drive safe.
@CrazyQuady4 жыл бұрын
I've considered adding a strap to the tailgate for awhile now, maybe that's a video for the future. I have some weather stripping around the tailgate but alot of it has fallen off over the last few years. That's on my list of maintenance I never get done.

Hello, new to your channel. You mentioned cutting out some of the reflectix so you can see out. I did that on mine, cut a maybe 5" upside C (three sides), so when they are in there, I can look out if I hear something / someone. I made a pull for it using clear tape too. I sleep inside our truck when I go back to Colorado from Tx, it can get hot inside, but I use the reflectix for the privacy, so, I also cut a flap from the top of the window area. To keep it down, I put heavy duty velcro dots, works great, now I can keep the cut out open for air or just push it back up and its all closed again. Keep up the videos. thanks :) (Carol D in Tx)

In any name, those sir, are Jailhouse burritos!🤣 Much love to the use of authentic ingredients such as Summer sausage, beans (dip), and of course the versatile Ramen (I prefer Texas beef flavor). The Fritos are also a must (any chip will suffice). I will say to anyone who hasn’t tried one of these - give them a try…you won’t be disappointed. Excellent content as usual bud. Keep it lit!!

It's amazing how food tastes differently when you're outdoors camping...even the wildest concoctions of foods you would normally not eat at home. One of my favorite activities is experimenting with recipes. I do all the cooking at home (as a caregiver for my wife, confined to a wheelchair, but who is self sufficient) and it helps me with creativity. I never thought to put ramen noodles in my trash can burritos, just left overs and a fried egg on occasion with sriracha or a spicy chili sauce. I do like half-cooked ramen noodles in my hamburger, sort of like putting potato chips in the burger. For desserts I like those Dole pineapple chunks in a cup lightly salted and sprinkled with Tajin spice. A great cup of coffee goes well anytime you're camping. Expedition Joe sells incredible bags of ground coffee flavors and the store is based in Georgia. I make the coffee cowboy style. Just before pouring the coffee add a small amount of water which makes the grounds fall to the bottom of the pot. Jason of Primal Outdoors channel turned me onto the coffee and Pendleton whiskey :)
@CrazyQuady4 жыл бұрын
Ramen is great with everything! I'll have to check out the coffee trick! Thanks for all the support!

When I went camping in my camper shell , on mine I could turn the latches from inside and where the latch rods went through the latch plates I put needle nose vice grips on the back side of the latch plates when the rods were through them and it couldn't be opened from the outside , I'm not sure if that will work on yours or not because I'm not sure if you have close to the same type of latches or setup on your camper shell .
@CrazyQuady4 жыл бұрын

Locks are cool, but get some protection, never know it can save your life. For inside locks ( I have one) I epoxied 3/4 marine ply about 3 x 3 inches to the tailgate and the window, put a base and a padlock on it from the inside. Small unobtrusive, in the end wont keep someone out who really wants in but then again nothing really will for a determined whatever....that's where the protection comes, doesn't have to a be a firearm, good bear spray or pepper spray a good place to start. Your bed looks nearly identical to my setup, I live in CO and hit the darkside of the mountains for space viewing telescope stuff....Did have a bear try to take my cooler one night but the more dangerous kind walks on 2 legs.

I watched your most recent video about the contents of your truck cab. You had mounted a fire extinguisher on the drivers side rear door. I got to thinking that you might want to either move that one, or buy a second one, and have in the back of the truck. With you cooking in the back you'd have a hard time getting to that fire extinguisher in the truck cab if something went wrong and you caught your bed on fire.
