I made this recipe for lunch today. So glad I did it. I didn't have BBQ sauce so I just used black.pepper, chilli, and Honey, and it was just fine. Deffinately going to make it again. ❤❤❤❤❤

I love the idea of using barcabonate of Soda to boil and then discard. Just thinking about the nurturing process of growing spinach, it is highly likely that there's some pesticide residue on it. Barcabonate of Soda is recommended for washing/cleaning either veges or fruits before consumption. Thumbs up Cooking👸

When you drain the water from spinach all the the nutrients are wasted, I would recommend to just cook with the gravy you made instead of boiling it first. Other than that it looks great!!

Draining water is something that many Chefs do. Why? Depending on kind of recipe ya have, if ya dont drain spinach, its got tendency of over powering any other thing ya using to cook, ie spices, and or if ya addn water ya must consider that water spinach adds, which might be tricky!

Spinach has an enzyme which if consumed too much causes uric acid....its best to discard the liquid ...the process is done to eliminate that enzyme.

Nice recipe!! but by cooking the spinach beforehand, and throwing the water away, you are losing all the nutrients......why not throw the spinach in as uncooked, and let it simmer for longer.......that way you dont lose the nutrients.........

Cook faster like in less than 5 minutes adds a certain smoothy taste makes it just perfect (soda) I'd not drain but rather use a small amount of water less than half a cup

Boiling spinach defeats the benefits of having the nutrients. I dont think we should boil the spinach as its not a hard veggie that needs softening
