1 1/2 cup cream of wheat
3 cups evaporated milk
1 cup salted butter ( 2 stick)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cinnamon stick
Few cardamom pods
Few cloves
1 Tsp nutmeg
1 Tsp mixed essence
1/4 cup cherries
1/4 cup raisins
Almonds (optional)
1 egg

The good old days we would start preparing from days ahead Mom would wake up and prepare a delicious breakfast before the boys head out to masjid while she was busy as a bee preparing a feast my sis and I were her handy assistant ❤️her paper bags used to be the joy of the neighborhood everyone would look forward to it 🤤

Hello Ash! The sirnee look so delicious. Me too I remember those old days when we celebrated Eid in Guyana. My mom too will make all the delicious sweets not for the star (vermicelli ) . Nice texture, but we in Trinidad don't use butter. We use ghee only for flour or cream of wheat. And only cardamom.
