i like how you do a more relaxed fishing segment and a more in depth cooking part. most people go hardcore fishing and slop something together but youre a true chef

Great video Will! That’s probably the feistiest I’ve ever seen blue crab ever. The dish is very inspiring as I’m so used to you making your spices from scratch, but I guess I can get the jerk seasoning from Amazon, or I’ll get my wife to, lol. Thanks for sharing!!!

Whew! That was a loaded plate of deliciousness! May I make a suggestion please Will? I saw the Amazon link but it doesn't have how to SEND you something, like tongs for live crab fishing. It would be nice to be able to send you things from a wish list. I know, not your thing, but you really need those tongs, lol. Always a joy to watch your videos. Have a beautiful week out there Will!

Will, use bunker. When I was in Virginia crabbing this summer, I used bunker while everyone else was using chicken. My trap was always full of blue crabs and everyone else was catching not even close to half of what I was catching.

Any oily fish will do: mackerel, herring, bunker.....bluefish or snapper blues make excellent crabpot bait.

I wasn't aware that Long Island has a limit on how many snapper blues you could keep. Just 3? As a kid in Connecticut in the 60s and 70s, there were no size or creel limits and each of us would catch *dozens* to take home.
@CookingWithClams7 күн бұрын
Yeah it keeps going down
@goodun29747 күн бұрын
@CookingWithClams , We had population booms and population busts with stripers but when I was a kid anyway there was never any shortage of bluefish or snapper blues. Perhaps there's been a population downturn since then, which the biologists have been tracking......

It always blows me away that you guys can legally catch crabs. Our laws in Atlantic Canada are so draconian in regards to shell fish harvesting. And our population of folks that would even do it recreationally is tiny. Technically we can't even harvest green crabs, and they are thick in my parts.
