I will say it: CookingwithGloria really KNOWS how to make carnitas. I followed this recipe and it came out amazingly wonderful. Yes- no babysitting, no turning things for even cooking- just do it the way Gloria says. I did add my own herbs and some spices for the last hour only, but I followed Gloria's technical instructions and yes, Muy Bueno Amazing100%.

I made these yesterday , so damn delicious. I can’t believe how the citrus and the coke absorb into the pork . I did make the mistake of putting the orange juice and liquids too early and I didn’t get enough crisp but they were still damn amazing for my first time . Carnitas is my very favorite Mexican dinner, if not my favorite thing to eat, period. I always order it at every Mexican establishment I frequent...but have been reluctant to try to make it at home as it seemed a bit overwhelming.
