Thank you Joseph, I hope the information serves you well. It is really easy to use, and I have fun cooking on it. Cooking meats or using the rotisserie is the best in it. I treat it like an oven, so I have many ideas coming for recipes. I cooked ribs in it and it only took 50 mins to cook even with basting the bbq sauce on them. I was surprised how good the ribs were, and I am firm on smoking my ribs. But definitely an eye opener, that video comes out next weekend. I hope you enjoy your Nuwave as much as I do mine. Cheers! What happens if the knob does not seem to pull out with any amount of force
@CookingwithKirby4 жыл бұрын
Hi Samantha, after owning this air fryer for almost 2 years, it is like second nature opening and closing it. Lifting the lid a little allows you to pull the knob to close it. In the meanwhile I will work on sides. Some have reported that the lid doesnt shut, I havent had an issue. My suggestion is dont leave it ooen too long. Open it up, do what you need to do then close it up. Dont force it either, pull the lever and let it gently close. Do you have any advice on how to safely open the air fryer? We left the vent open but almost burned our hands trying to open it after our food was done.
@CookingwithKirby6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan, facing the front of the air fryer, there is a lip to lift. That is where I always lift open the lid, and open all the way back to give you room to work with the food and such. To close, simply lift up the lid and pull the release button on the hinge then close. Its harder for me while filming, since its side ways. But if you can have it face you its much easier.

What's the difference between vent open or close

I this same NuWave, please tell me why my Chicken is not cooking right. I have tried & tried in it. Also this open and closed slide thing on top, when you Air Fry I know you need it open, But with the Chicken does it need to be closed or open? Mine stays in open ( Air Fryer Full Effects, it says ).
@CookingwithKirby6 жыл бұрын
Hi Misty, when I cook chicken I tend to take the longer route and cook between 350 to 380 degrees. Wings I cook at 380 for 24 mins, legs 380 22 - 26 mins, thighs 350 40 - 45 mins, and whole chicken I cook at 350 for 13 mins per pound of the chicken. Regardless of temp and time, I just check it around those end times and make sure it is above 165 degrees internal temperature. But for example, thighs I like the texture when they temp at 185 -190, they have a nice exterior but are still juicy. The only time I ever close the vent is during a big piece of meat like a whole chicken or pork roast. Closing the vent does help with keeping moisture in, so it does help and it closes the vents right on top of the air fryer. Other than that, my vent usually stays open. I hope some of this information helps, let me know if you have anything else you want covered. The best thing to do is practice and consider like oven cooking. When I started doing that, it made my experience a lot easier.

I LOVE... this Appliance!!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ After watching you, I went ahead and purchased this same exact model. Question though- Do you have problem with sticking on that ‘silver grate’? I make sure my wings are towel dried, grate grill thingy is oiled and I mist my chicken with olive oil yet-they stick HORRIBLY when I attempt to turn. I love the wings cooked this way but that heats me 😾 up about my lovely crust stuck onto that grill. And no- I’m not over frying and yes-I misted when needed even when turned. I’ve encountered this EVERY single time I’ve fried my wings which is now about-5 times. French Frys are no problem. Fresh or frozen. I had the idea pop in my head to resolve the issue buy purchasing 5.5 qt. replacement ‘non-stick fry basket’ on Amazon for a ‘Cosori’ unit. I removed the handle and it fit PERFECTLY into the rack/holder. It seemed in all your frying videos, you had excellent results with that Nu Wave basket whereas I had failure. So just was wondering what else I could’ve done wrong. 🙏🏾
@CookingwithKirby4 жыл бұрын
Hey Mrs Sista, congrats on the new toy. I love my 10 quart and she is still running today. chicken with skin on will stick to the grate. It got a little easier the more I used the air fryer. The grate will build up a layer of oil, which after time you will notice while cleaning. I found cooking at 350 - 380 and flipping after 8 minutes and 16 minutes helps prevent it from sticking. Especially battered chicken, you have to flip at 8 minute intervals or the batter will get stuck in the grate. The way I use it is not set in stone, you can come up with something that fits you. But that is what I learned to fix that problem, once I have done that I have not had any issue. Chicken wings I like to cook for 380 degrees for 24 minutes, it give a nice crispy exterior but is still nice and juicy. Give it a try and let me know how they come out. I hope this helps. Thank you Kirby

Have you used the rotisserie for a whole chicken
@CookingwithKirby6 жыл бұрын
Hello Elizabeth, I did one attempt but it was too big. I have to redo that video so I can utilize the rotisserie. Honestly if you just put a grate down on the bottom and place the chicken in the tub it comes out great. This is how I cooked my 5.5lb chicken kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqOseXZqe5yaocU

How many pork chops and hamburgers can fit at on time? thanks
@CookingwithKirby6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jnick, at most I have only cooked 8 at each time. Really depends on the size of what you are cooking. Also using extra grates on the bottom helps for more room.

This is mine also, my 1st I like big because you can always cook small, but big covers everything. Love the rotisserie you do have to tie it up, good, also around 6lbs or less for a good rotate.
@CookingwithKirby6 жыл бұрын
Hey Paul, I started with a 3 quart, it was just too small for me. I love my 10 quart, its my little oven. I did do a whole chicken in there and even a 5.5lb was a bit too big for the rotisserie. My next chicken will be tied for sure, in the manual it said up to 5lbs. So I will be going by the recommended weight. Its really good and has its advantages. My big plus is it doesn't heat up my house compared to the stove oven. Good cooking on yours and have a great weekend. Thank you Paul.

What about fish? How long? What would the temperature be?
@CookingwithKirby5 жыл бұрын
Hello, I cook battered fish in 15 mins on it. If the fish is not battered, you are looking at less time. I set to 375 or higher to cook fish. Just make sure the fish reaches an internal temp of 175 degrees.

How long do I cook 2 1 lb Turkey breast for. And what temp
@CookingwithKirby6 жыл бұрын
Hello Patty, I would cook it to the manufacturer recommendations, 10-12 mins per pound. I use a temp thermometer to ensure its done. I have cooked whole chicken in less then an hour, but all determines in the weight.

Hey my brotha Catman, I like the name change. It will cut out a lot of fat by using one. Even when I do chicken thighs, it gets out a lot of the fat. Definitely look into them, they do come in handy. Thank you brotha!

Just a Guess, but Warm at 150°F is what Restaurants use to Hold Hot Food Hot. Warm feature could hold Chili or Queso Warm during a Party.

Kirby, Have you done a whole rotisserie chicken yet in this? I have not been able to find one video cooking a whole chicken in this, either with the rotisserie, which would be preferable, or without it. Thank you!

Ps I checked your other videos but did not find one yet.

Hi Maureen, I have not cooked a chicken on the rotisserie yet. I do plan to, I should have it up in a few weeks. The rotisserie feature is the reason why I purchased this model. As for cooking a chicken in it, I would prefer the rotisserie since it will get an even cook and you will not have to flip or turn the meat over. Thank you for your question, I will try my best to have that video out soon.

Hello and Thank you Cara. A little tip, just treat it like a small oven. When I did that, I started having fun with it and enjoyed using it more. Then the creativity comes along with it, I've made some really great meals on and off camera. For the size, you can do a lot with it. I hope my videos serve a purpose to you and if you ever have any questions, feel free to ask.

If you want to cook a bag of fries in it, do you just put it in the steel basket? There’s no “fry basket,” like the other sizes.
@CookingwithKirby6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mary, I honestly have not been able to get fries to cook how many people say to cook them on neither of my air fryers. Now I have not tried frozen store bought fries. I may just attempt to compare. I tested tater tots, and the less I put in the basket they crisped a lot better, but still took close to 20 mins to get to my liking. I have been just putting them on this model in the basket, and shake using a pair of tongs. The times I hear from people or package suggested saying to cook the fries seem under done, that is why I haven't had a fry video yet.
