I'm leaving a review after trying the recipe out for myself (in short, it worked really well): Everything was fairly easy to do. The hardest part was actually cooking it in the oven for me. The part where you mix the ingredients? Piece of cake. It honestly couldn't be easier, so I'm not gonna go into detail with that. The kneading part did take some time and effort, plus some techniques, but don't be frightened cause I'm a begining baker myself. The dough is on the sticky side, but i only slightly floured my hands a little before starting. I suggest you don't add more flour to the dough itself for the best results. For the rising part, just leave it alone, and don't touch it. The yeast does it's own magic. The bench time and proofing also just requires time, nothing special. Now, for the baking part, if you have a oven that you know how to work and a metal pan, you can go ahead and relax. For me, however, I used a glass pan, and I'll tell you something. USE A METAL PAN. Metal transfers the heat WAY better than glass. When I baked as instructed, the top was done but the bottom half was still dough. I had to bake additional 20-25 min on a higher heat setting to have an edible piece of bread. In conclusion, the bread tastes pretty good. It's on the slightly sweeter side and goes really well with cream cheese, and just like the title says, its quite soft. If your a begining baker like me, invest in a metal pan and totally try this recipe out.

As for needing, can you also leave it in the bowl and knead it with your plastic pastry knife/cutter/spatula. just get a good stretch on the dough pulling it up and out of the bowl each time to develop the gluten. it's must less messy, less on your hands, none on your board. this is a must when working with higher hydration doughs such as ciabatta and sourdough. You definitely don't want to keep adding flour (been there done that) or you'll end up with a brick of tough unleavened nastiness. i'm going to dry this perhaps with a sourdough starter to see how it comes out. thanks for the review!

pop leaf ...You can also put butter or cooking spray on your hands for stickiness. Whatever you have at the house.

I LOVE this channel, and I love hearing the ambient sounds that the ingredients make, as they are stirred. I LOVE that you don't have to speak and that you take your time and make things manually and so simply. Also, unlike food network, I like that you SCRAPE THE BOWLS. I hate to see good ingredients go to waste. I love everything about this channel

Tried this recipe yesterday and it turned out so good. I used salted butter instead of unsalted, and added more milk & butter whilst kneading. The bread turned out super soft and fluffy!
You drizzling the chocolate on the bread does it hinge to me which I can not explain!!! Beautiful

I love watching how other people bake/cook etc I dont think Ive ever seen anyone kneed and mix the dough quite like that before. Ripping and smashing the butter in by hand like that, just looks satisfying hah Question though, why the squish before putting them in the pan to rise again? Does that help them raise even higher?

yep, too rough, your not supposed to strecth till you rip, it will work but it will take longer, now slapping, punching, squeezing, go to town the gluten loves it ans IT IS satisfyng

You need to squish out or take out as much air as possible for every bench rest that way the yeast could start again and feed on the starch on your dough. This leads to a finer texture of your bread.

Raji Nair Well the vid's ingredients wasn't vegetarian. But you can always use a substitute. Find a vegetarian butter. And use almond milk for starters

Vegetarians can use dairy products & eggs. It's Vegans who strictly use to animal products I.e. Dairy, eggs & in some cases honey.

This copy paste from google "Some vegetarians also exclude dairy, some don't, and some may consume eggs. Likewise,vegans avoid meat, poultry, and seafood, but they also take it a step further by eliminating all animal products from their diet. This includes any type of animal milk and eggs" In my hindu friends case, for example he isnt vegetarian. But for religious purposes he has to go veggie every tues and thurs. Meaning no meat (especially beef) and no animal related products, he cant take milk nor eggs.
