🤣🤣🤣 I was a line cook at a restaurant that had veggie and vegan options. If a server came to the window to ask if a dish was veggie or vegan they’d always get the wrong answer from the cooks. Our KM would tell us to do so because the “servers should know the menu”. Those poor servers got bitched at so much. I started writing up short lists of what items are vegan and veggie and sticking them all over the server stations so they’d stop getting messed with. It didn’t work, no one read them.

I've worked in the same restaurant for a long time... I started out in the kitchen with prep, making the cold dishes, & then working the window. I admit I became a little hard on the servers when I got on window; in fact, one of my çome-backs is still used today - "Do you want it done, or do you want it now?" Well, when I became a server, I had to face karma. Oh, the panic you experience when you realize that you haven't even turned in table 30's order who has already been waiting 30 minutes! Becoming a server was a lesson in humility, empathy, & compassion, especially since I've now been on both sides of the window. The hard thing about being a server, you have to deal with _both_ kitchen & customers.... that's when you start learning the servers' "tricks of the trade".
