Cool feature on W211 Mercedes E-Class automatic (SBC HOLD)

Prevents your W211 E-Class from crawling forward. SBC S Hold Feature from Mercedes-Benz.
With transmission in D, while standing still, quickly press the brake a little deeper and the car will hold itself. Doing it again will cancel it, or you can just push on the throttle and it will 'pop loose'. Awesome trick!

its available standard on all pre 2006 restyle cars, and it is available as an option on later cars as well, even without abc

no SBC for 2008 model. It's just hold function not SBC hold.

Just so you know you can activate it by just pressing the pedal a little harder when you have come to a stop. you don't have to jam it on like in the video.

SBS braking systems were only fitted pre- facelift. (Pre 2006 in UK) They were overcomplicated and problematic which is why they were discontinued. I have a facelifted 2007 E Class with a conventional braking system which also has the "Hold" facility.

Hey Ramon I have e320 2005 telephone haven't been installed I like to use OEM Bluetooth but I don't have installation guide. Do you have any video of it, thanks for your help

Sorry mate, can't help you with that. But why use the in-car phone? I believe a dual-sim is needed then... I'd stick with bluetooth ;)

Late reply but yes and no. One must go into STAR and change the settings from North America to Rest of the world. It will read as RDW (Reste der Welt) or ROW (Rest of World). Once programmed, it will turn on SBC Hold, as well as Euro only features (Disclaimer it will turn off your side marker lights).

+giorgi grubeli C = Comfort. S = Standard. C was originally the winter mode, for slippery conditions. In that mode it puts less force on the ground, accelerates smoother, and shifts earlier. I assume they realized, that it is not just good for winter, but actually makes the whole acceleration more comfortable, so they changed the name to comfort mode. Since it shifts earlier, it also has a slight effect on fuel consumption. If you want instant grip when hitting the gas pedal, use S. It has no transition time, and shifts more abrupt yet faster, puts more force on the ground and reaches higher RPM before shifting.

I don't understand one thing, in this video, transmission is in D and car has been stop, how is it possible? while the foot aren't on the brake pedal. ( I mean, before hold button light)
