It was a good show but I think Mr. Andre needs to work on his lecturing skills. I felt really bad at the end when the host had to cut him off because he was introducing everybody in the frame redundantly and unnecessarily. Good luck!

Question for anyone here. As a 1st person observer, myself, I have never witnessed a thing that didn't have at least 1 other opposition. Example: I am in the bathroom as opposed to being in the dinning room. There has always been more than 1 option for things ive experienced. A neuroscientist would argue that death is final. I say, that cant be true, because death has no opposite from the perspective of the 1st person observer. So, only the 2nd person and 3rd person can witness a duality. Nothing can oppose being dead if you are in the 1st person; there is no "obtainable" alternate position. Its just dead or dead, but the universe does not ever seem to work like this. How do you account for this inconsistency? My charge = Death, very likely, can not exist for a self aware conscious mind. Any takers on this topic?

@@nativeamericancowboy5028 An interesting concept. However if Death as you hypothesis does not exist for "self aware conscious mind" then life also can not exist, by the same measure. If we as humans are unable to ascertain existence beyond the physical characteristics that define life and death then logic dictates that they do not exist, however I would argue that neither of these hypothesis are correct, I'd argue that both life and death exist but its the Conscious Mind itself that's a myth. As you stated earlier death is a physical aspect that we apply to others. To say it doesn't exist is to say nothing exists. A book has pages a cover and text there for its a book. You don't have physically be a book to know what one is all you have to do is observe something that isn't a book in order to make the distinction. Thus we define Life and Death this way. Consciousness however is a different story, as we can not observe a persons consciousness and as no two people share the same minds the duality that you propose does not exist as a frame of reference, therefore consciousness to one person is not consciousness to another. So in your charge of whether death can exist for a self aware conscious mind, i would say no it can't exist but that's because there's no such thing as the self aware conscious mind. Mic Drop :)

@@ancarwillis9060 allow me to rearrange my idea. It's been 2 yrs. If I'm hot today, can I be cold tomorrow. Answer: yes If I'm wet today, is it possible for me to be dry tomorrow? Answer: Yes Here's where it gets tricky. If I'm dead today, is it possible for me to be alive tomorrow? Your answer : No My answer: Yes Why is my answer yes? Because there has to be an alternative experience. Plan and Simple. I'm not demanding any one particular experience over another, I'm just saying there has to be some other option, other than just death. Why does there have to be another option? Answer: Name one state in the universe that only has one option. To make a long story short, my problem with the state of death is that it doesn't have any other options once you have experienced it. Everything else, and every other state of being has options. Where are the options with death? Why would the universe allow a state of being that is completely stagnant, when that doesn't appear to be it's nature? Moreover, even molecules frozen at Absolute Zero still have the OPTION to be reanimated with the introduction of heat.

@Ramon Marlow I agree with the transition theory because everything else in universe transitions.

@@nativeamericancowboy5028 I think your questions lead more towards whether there is an actual afterlife. Obviously I can't be for certain as dying by its nature is only something you can do once and though I do prefer the idea that there is something worthwhile in the here after my cynicism possibly developed over a lifetime of relative experiences leads me to be more pragmatic. If I can't prove something I'll lean more towards non existence until proven otherwise basically. I still back my original hypothesis though because what we call consciousness has no relative form. When a person sleeps are they conscious or unconscious, what about when they are in a coma? If we are gauging consciousness on a scale like the weather then sure its possible to be dead at one moment and then alive at the next given the right circumstances, however with regards to consciousness as it is now, life and death are states of being. You either are or your not, and once you change even if you do revert back to your original form you aren't really the same. Like with your water example, when its frozen its condensed into a solid but when its heated it turns into a vapor. Sure it can be condensed back down into water and frozen again but the molecules aren't the same. They wont be in the same order and thus not the same thing. To bring it more at home with living creatures lets look at the process of mitosis. When a cell divides can it then be recombined back into the original host? What about with twins? They were once one being which split in two. Is it then possible for us to recombine them back into one? Not by any logical means that I know of. Perhaps we could make a Frankenstein monster but I'm not sure that meets the criteria. The split as far as human advancement is concerned today is final. Now on a religious note if that's where this was going, I personally I think I'd rather prefer that there not be an afterlife. Not that I'm an evil person or anything and I would hope that if there were an afterlife that I would go to heaven, but I would just hate knowing that there's so much cruelty and evil in the world and that there were people or even a divine being who existed who possibly shared our pain who knowingly sat by and did nothing, when the mere acknowledgement of their existence could change the world. What kind of afterlife would that be? I think in those regards even a heaven would be hell to me.
