I'm having a hard time recreating this in my DAW. Is this in 7/8 time? Also we need a transcription of more than the simple play along. You got way more complex very soon into the riff!

+Jim Cheseborough Hey Jim, it's just regular 4/4 time, but the beat starts on the 4-e-&-E! So the last 16th note before the one (hence the "Syncopated" in the title). Was my (basic) drum score on Facebook any helpful? Cause later on the 'song', I'm just improvising over the bass line. Just make sure that your fills end on the aforementioned 4-e-&-e. You might wanna check out this song: Kensington - War : it's rhythmically the same thing.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I'll get this! The good news is I can play the basic beat well (with the cross handed open HH). I'm trying to recreate the bassline into Reaper (DAW) and this is where the timing gets messed up. Ok,now i know its 4/4. Yeah, I guess your drawing shows that. lol Ok, back to work for me. ;-)

Handzetting blijkt idd hetzelfde. Alleen je hihat wordt snare en je snare wordt hihat. Succes! ;) Op mn facebook pagina staat bij 'Photos' een transcriptie van deze groove. Wellicht helpt dat je (nog) verder?
