Those are stunning. When you dry the clay, do you use a dehydrator?
@cooltoolsvideos11 ай бұрын
Hi Melissa, yes we use a dehydrator to dry the clay. You can also use a hot plate. Thanks for watching!

This was great. Do you have a video where you demonstrate the setup you were talking about for firing with the bail?
@cooltoolsvideos Жыл бұрын
Hi Kim, you can watch Karen show how to fire pieces, including with a bail here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJ24loJ-mb6Df9k Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

great video Karen! Could I just roll little balls of clay to represent the pebbles? will they stay in??
@cooltoolsvideos10 ай бұрын
Hi Nancy, yes you could do this but the connection would not be as strong compared to using our Finishing Touches Mold because they create a flat back with a larger surface connection. Thanks for watching!

What did you use to get that beautiful silver finish?
@cooltoolsvideos8 ай бұрын
Hello, the piece is tumbled after firing. You can find the tumbler we use here: cooltools.us/products/lortone%C2%AE-tumbler-3lb-rotary-120v-us Hope this helps!

How much clay does a typical pendant take to make?
@cooltoolsvideos Жыл бұрын
Hello, it really depends on the pendant size. For this particular pendant, it probably took about 25 grams of clay to make. Hope this helps!

Beautiful pendant! If I use Art Clay Silver and want to fire the piece on a camp stove instead of using a torch, about how many minutes should I let it fire? Thanks! 😍😍😍
@cooltoolsvideos Жыл бұрын
Art Clay Silver should reach a peach glow for 2 - 3 minutes when firing with a flame. Hope this helps!
@gshighsmith Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I was thinking it would be longer like five minutes!@@cooltoolsvideos

I was looking at a table for gemstones that can be fired with metal clay and sapphires are a yes, but what about star sapphires?

What number of course or fine sand paper are you using at the various places? Thank you.

I love this, I have a question it doesn't have anything to do with this video. Its about using fine silver paste. Do you have any videos on how to use the paste? It was order by mistake, I thought I was ordering clump clay.
@cooltoolsvideos2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rhonda, fine silver paste is used for adding details and findings to your designs, making repairs, adding parts and pieces in the wet stage, greenware and post firing. You can also use it to paint on leaves, sticks and botanicals to create and re-create natural designs. The uses are endless really! Hope this helps!
