I was driving past Kirra groyne and saw a good 10 foot set roll in. It was so big and clean and about 3 guys went for it. 1st two got hit by the lip but the third guy got the tube. What a magic wave.

Paddled out there today, was pretty solid. First 5 minutes of being in the lineup a guy dropped in on a longboarded after calling him off the wave. Guy who dropped in kooked it and went over the falls, proceeds to go off at the longboarder and paddle over to him. Drop-in guy wasn't happy that longboarder had been getting all the waves and said it was his turn, longboarder headbuts him and says keep on paddling. Then they both got cleaned up by a bomb, never saw drop-in guy again haha

So many drop-ins. Locals likely. But if you drop-in on them???..you know the rest. I surfed at North Avalon mostly and surfed a few times at Newport. Threatening and spearing boards at you. No thanks. Great waves, great photography.
