Cool dude 747 here. It was good to see you walking to Faversham. I was in Faversham on Friday night having a few drinks in The Bear, where there is probably the worst mural I’ve ever seen, either in a pub or anywhere else. Check it out as it really plumbs the depths for public art. I live about 20 miles from Faversham and it’s a great town for pubs and to walk to from Whitstable. I’ve enjoyed the two videos of your pilgrimage and it confirms to me how wise I was to join such an August(ine) club. I await video 3 to see whether you made it to Canterbury. Another good walk is from Wye to Canterbury o the North Downs Way. Best wishes, Tony.

It’s sad to hear that there are still viewers out there that believe in leprechauns, pots of gold, winning lottery tickets and youtube creators who can magically do it all for free. I have a word for such folk, ‘freeloaders’! Any chance you can create an emoji to describe those folks? In the meantime, loving the . Stay Cool

Great video as usual. Pity 'The Church' seems to be against you. Maybe a change of religion might help? I'm worried this is your only income now. Saw you a while ago in a re-run of Shakespeare and Hathaway ( Great acting 👍 ) so no more offers of work? 😥 I would gladly support your channel if I could but been out of work myself nearly two years and it's getting really hard now. All the best and I hope your job offers and the channel start to grow soon. Nice one cool dude. Stop Press Just a thought .....maybe you could approach companies like The Mountain Warehouse or Go Outdoors and see if they would sponsor your travels. It would be good publicity for them and you as you are of course a CELEB 😁👍

Nice one cool dude. My work is increasingly sporadic. I think it naturally gets less as you get older, and I don't do stand up really. I shouldn't have put that bit in explaining it really. I just got annoyed by some comment and felt I had to explain that this has turned into my work. I will probably edit it out.

I'm late again. 🙂Sorry about your disappointing lunch. Meh. Hmm, I'd say the worst live thing I ever went to was seeing the band spiritualized back in the late 90s.They were awful and the lead singer was being a massive bellend(shouting and swearing at the crowd). That drawing of the windmill is brilliant by the way.I've discovered another windmill not far from me (in Leamington spa)that I want to visit. It's featured in a game my son plays too(Forza). 🙂 Right, I'm off to bed now. Stay cool.

Hope you had a good sleep. Enjoy the windmill. P.S. I am a bit worried about Mini Marek drinking more than his own bodyweight in beer.

My 8th Great Grandfather was baptished in Hucking church, 1630. The parish register said, he was placed in the care of the parish due to Rebellion. His father must have been killed in the Civil War.

@@cdwc That is why we were so disappointed. Great band, many great songs,. They just came on, did the act and went. It was back in the late 80,s and coming to the end of the main fame period. Just about the split for a while.
@jenniferburk79652 жыл бұрын
Darn it, I was looking forward to seeing your overpriced pub lunch. That building behind you in Faversham was pretty strange; I wouldn't want to walk under it, almost as bad as a cliff. I didn't see the play, but the Mama Mia movie was utter crap and almost put me off ABBA music for good. Also really hated the Noah film; after watching it my reaction was 'what the hell did I just see and why did I stay for the whole thing?'
@cdwc2 жыл бұрын
I loved all those old buildings in Faversham. I wish they'd still make them like that. I think that last one was the town hall, but I did not pay attention so much as there were a group of drunks pointing at me and I wanted to get out of there sharpish. I think the worst thing about watching Mamma Mia was all the pissed people in the crowd singing along. So you are just paying to hear pissed people who can't sing.

Transformers 2 is the worst film that comes to mind, I didn't remotely care what happened after the halfway point and just wanted it to end but I don't know what I'd expected. Worst gig was some comedian on the bill who sounded English but had an Eastern European name like Marcin or Maciej or something 🙃 ...no the worst gig was some Scottish guy called Obie who just did dreadful crowd work for 15 minutes before I decided to leave.

Worst cinema experience: watching 'REPO MEN' with Forrest Whittaker and Jude Law(?). Hated every second, it's just an appalling film. Made more bitter by the fact that we'd paid extra for a fancy showing. Worst gig- watching a 30 stone white youth pastor called Pat Brick rap about Jesus and telling us his story (spoilers, he was bad and then a Jesus happened and now he's good)

I imagine previous pilgrims have inflicted similar lunchtime indignities on themselves to demonstrate their devotion. If you wanted to, you could take it up a notch by frequently sniffing the strawberry laces and not allowing yourself to eat any, or by wearing a sock with a hole in the toe. I wonder if the person who complained about you talking about memberships gets equally affronted by shops that insist on putting price labels everywhere? What a !
@cdwc2 жыл бұрын
People might think I am even more mental if I start sniffing strawberry laces. Mind you, they do smell pretty nice.
