You think it's big, yeah? I mean, that's what I thought too. I saw the customer shots and thought I knew how big this thing is, but nothing can prepare you for the sight of the FedEx man having to use a dolly to get it out from his truck just to bring it to the bottom of your second floor apartment's stairs. Guilt ridden, you offer to help him wrestle it upstairs, but he ardently refuses due to insurance reasons, so you helplessly watch the brave courier laboriously heave the monstrous box. You unbox it to begin your new build... only to pause because you're not sure where to start. So you awkwardly circumnavigate it's immense bulk like a wayward solitary Knight intending to lay siege to an obsidian fortress, heavy and dark, wrought of brushed aluminium and steel. It's only a matter of time before the towering behemoth defeats your geek pride, and your questing fingers shamelessly grasp the manual from the abyss of an empty box. In no time you learn that the hinged doors can in fact detach, easing the burden of installing your motherboard, power supply, graphics cards, disk drives, and whatever technological sacrifices you wish to sacrifice into the void. And it is a void unto which you sacrifice technology, you see: it devoured over eight hard drives like a snack, and with stunning ease tamed cables that made entire jungles of my lesser PC cases of days bygone. And then, when it is done and powered up, and the looming dark pillar dwarfs the desk you once thought adequate--you are reminded of those creepy black monoliths in 2001: A Space Oddysey. And you are right to be reminded. So right. Because you've just joined the PC Gaming Master Race, lol.

Ballout Sports Poetry. Pure poetry. :) And yeah, it's huge. I ordered mine online and figured, hey, I have a car. I don't need to get it delivered. I can get it myself from the nearest pickup point. I mean, how big could it be, yeah? Consider this. It's big. Like, BIG. And it's in a big cardboard box. Real BIG. And consider that when something is shipped to you there's usually _another_ cardboard box that they put the box in again for protection and all that. The final result is. BIIIIIIG. I had to _drag_ the thing from the store where the pickup point was and out into the parking lot to my car. Forget about _carrying_ it. That wasn't gonna happen. And then it was a matter of getting it into the car itself. A 2014 Suzuki Swift. Not a big vehicle, but not tiny either. With the shipping box and all I could _barely_ get it in through the back hatch of the car. There wasn't even enough space between the sides of the box and the doorframe to get my finger in between them, and of course the back of the rear seats had to be laid down in order to fit the box inside the vehicle. So yeah, it's big! It's heavy. And it was totally worth it!

Agreed! The fans are junk that come with this though. Definitely need to be replaced after a period of use. I also drilled a hole to get a proper power on/standby light in. As I said in my other comment. MOST use it for servers however it does have a regular ATX layout and can be used for a gaming system. Especially with the TX10 D which has two motherboard trays to run 2 systems on. 1 could be a server the other could be a regular high end gaming system.

I have this case. It is HUGE, and I have every slot in use and it is HEAVY with all the Hard-Drives. I had an issue with the front hot swap, they broke, but Cooler Master replaced them no questions asked. I love this case, I have been using it since 2013, and have my 3rd build in it. Ready for a 4th build. I'm getting my money out of it for sure.

So you're the right guy to ask: Am about to buy one and am confused: on the cooler master site, its says that the front fan is 200mm and on another line it says that its a 120mm..which one is it!?! Extract from CM site: "One 120mm blue LED fan in the front" and on another line: "Front: 200mm blue LED fan x 1, 700 RPM, 19 dBA (installed)" As for my previous question about the psu cage, i've figured it out as anyway am buying a new 1200W psu who is of standard size.

My only complaint is the lack of intake fans in the motherboard compartment. Obviously the case is designed to be set up with watercooling (especially if you're going to commit $400 to a case) but based on the design they show in the website there is inadequate intake for the video cards, being that they've only provided intake fans for the lower compartment and the front.

As the other guy said, every PSU has an exhaust, which channels out the majority of the heat. The temperature of a case with the PSU mounted on the top or on the bottom flucuates by only a few degrees. One advantage of having a bottom-mounted PSU is having more fan space at the top of the case, which is much better for airflow.

While I agree with your point, I personally own one. The 900D is a full year newer than this and it has the same price point, weighs less and has more water-cooling potential and air cooling potential than the Cosmos 2. Since the Cosmos 2 has handles it will be more portable than the 900D but still weigh more.

A friend of mine gifted me this case because he's moving soon and won't have room for it. It's big. I mean, holy crap it's big. My old case nearly fits within the motherboard space in the case. Empty, my toddler could climb inside of it and close the door (which is why it's going in the basement as a stream-gaming rig). My friend has it already kitted out with an impressive array of fans, including a pair of 140 mms on the left side door to keep the GPUs frosty. It's pretty outrageous! The thing is built like a tank. The black anodized aluminum on the outside is prone to scratches, and this thing wears quite a number of them on both sides. I admit I contributed a few of these scratches when laid the damn thing on its side while installing my motherboard before realizing that the doors quite easily detach. I did have to, for a moment, swing both doors open and step back to look at it like a Lamborghini with gullwing doors deployed, and stand in a bit of awe. The case is massive. The doors are massive. The thing dominated the room. Anyhow, having inherited this case, I am filled with a certainty that I have picked the friend who gave this to me well. My only regret is that it's going somewhere that I won't see it very often...

@jolly Herb so what your asking is a cosmos ii for around $400 or a 900d for 400$ also. Pr your could go for a better case for half the price

Yeah, water coolers would appeal more to the 900D because of weight. But portability is worse because with the cosmos 2 you have handle bars.

this is designed to be an armored case, (I would NOT recommend dropping it numerous times) and it can survive a maybe foot drop.

I just bought it. It was so huge, i couldn't fit it into my car. And even if lifting 26 kilograms is easy enough, carrying a bulky 26 kilogram tower all the way home from the post office, is another thing altogether. So if anyone wants to buy this, make sure to have access to a car with big enough space to fit it in.

It would be nicer if the cables that go to the front panel were position more toward the bottom, since that's where you would normally plug them in to the motherboard...

ARHHHHH soo hard to decide! Cooler Master Cosmos II Build (like a tank and look nice at the time but smaller then 900D) or 900D a lot of space to work with but has build quality issue(but still look nice.)

tbh i thinks this case looks really bad, but it's very function for a beast system like quad sli or something. and you need a heap of cooling.

In my opinion, i would go with a NZXT 820. If you are into that kinda classy finish with alot of space. Also comes in a variety of colours.
