We tour Con expo and look for the coolest heavy equipment we can find. Kubota has a New mini-skid steer, Dresser has a new Bulldozer, ASV's new RT-50 Skid steer, Huddigs new backhoe/Wheel loader and Case's new handicap accessible backhoe with a chair lift(really cool).

Seen one on a tractor works well with CVT transmissions works really well had a wheel chair user buckraking with it but do you think you would be able to reach up and unlatch the door and then reach the control in the cab i kinda think they need to think something out there ?

As a wheelchair user, The Case 580 Super N was my favorite. With electronic joystick controls you no longer have to be a big strong person to wrestle the controls of a large machine, and pedals are obsolete so no need for working legs either. And while this one still has a steering wheel, that will soon be gone as well. This is a good start, and I'm really glad they are working on making equipment accessible. Now when I can roll into the equipment with my wheelchair, and lock down and drive like I can in my van, that will be great! HATS OFF TO CASE!!!
@MrMichaeljab
@MrMichaeljab 4 жыл бұрын
The remote can easily be made wireless, just like your car's key fob. What Case has done is not perfect by any means, but it is a start, and it will continue to get better. And doors can be made to open and close with actuators via wireless remote as well.

That Huddig is an absolute monster, I love it. That and the dozer caught my eye, but the huddig had a lot more augments so my attention went to that first. And that dozer does have a beautifully clean view from the cab, and it's very stylish/modern looking as well. I say this as someone who has never run a piece of heavy equipment in his life 😂, I'm just an admirer.

Ran a Huddig 1160D (previous model to the 1260 that is sold bow) around 9 years ago and it's the most fun and best machine I've ever operated. It's not a great digger and it's not a fantastic wheel loader but it sure is the best digging wheel loader it there. It's hydraulics and controls are in its own league, not much can stop it in terms of terrain and it's a very stable platform. It feels like it's going to flip over but it just doesn't, not even with big loads in the out to the side without supports down. There's a saying about the Huddig, "You can't get a Huddig stuck, if you can't get it out you simply have not tried hard enough!" But like everything it costs there after. But if you ever get a chance to try one Stan, do it! You won't regret it (until you see the pricetag). Even better if you can get the radio control a go to. The one I operated didn't have that feature so I've never tried it but it looks handy in tight places. The lift on it is also to hold power line poles while digging them in or removing them.

I love the accessibility machine. I have a buddy that used to work loaders as part of his work in the US Army Corps of Engineers, but got tagged by an IED in the Middle East. He lost one leg above the knee and 90% of range of motion in his other leg. His biggest complaint is being on disability when he wants to be out "playing in the dirt", as he calls it, but he just couldn't handle getting into the machinery. This could easily be his saving grace to get him back in a seat and moving earth again! I'll make sure he sees this video!!!

@@Dirtmonkey So do I! If this becomes a commonplace thing for Heavy Equipment Operator positions to be handicap accessible, I can see a lot of skilled labor on the sidelines that can finally get back to work! Feeling useless is one of the worst things a disabled person can face, so any producer that invests in returning differently-abled hands back into the workforce will have any business I can send them!

Love that a.s.v. bad thing about it they have no distribution in Mexico. So I started looking at Mahindra. Watching this one brought me to two questions... First I heard bobcat has a new line of farm tractors, Is that anything worth doing as far as an informational video?? And I have the perfect partner for the A.S.V... Prinoth Panther T7R. you haven't promoted that on your show either. Noticed a potential problem with the accessible backhoe, the door handle is very high up, and I dont see any handle built lower down anywhere. Plus the remote to operate the chair lift is stored inside the cab, so I dont see how a handicapped person could even get into the machine in the first place. Unless this thing has a key fob door opener, that also controls the chair, this might be a very well intended product that its intended market cant really use.
