Mecalec seems to be one of the only HD Equipment companies focused on innovation and ease of use in multiple environments. Impressive. If their quality matches, they could gain some market share.

What I want to see in a demo like this is common situations you handle in the field, like digging along a wall, or on uneven ground, or backfilling a trench and see how all this razzle dazzle makes that job easier over conventional equipment. Start with where conventional equipment fails, and how these design improvements make these scenarios easier.
@laszlovass73264 жыл бұрын
These really need an excellent operator to be useful. Many operators would not be able to handle this with fluid motions. Kids need these instead of video games.

Had a lookie at their web site, they have several 'light' wheeled excavators which should be of interest to some, most companies seem to have only 14/15T versions but their lightest is a 7 - that may make a big difference for transporting as that, or the 11T, will be able to be trailered behind many pick-up trucks, rather than require a specialist transporter? The pivot in the middle of the main boom is also a change from many light tracked excavators that have it at the chassis/cab mounting point, their version allows a much greater offset for trenching, which could also be of considerable interest for some. Mrs Dirt Monkey is certainly getting a handle on the camera work, well done, as usual! Oh, also nice to see young women getting ito the business.

One of the best manufacturers out there. Pretty popular here in Europe. Their best machine is the AS900tele. Awesome for farms, they love it. Surprised they didn't showcase in the show. Expensive machines though. Paus from Germany has similar machines

Howdy, thought you’d see a message here quicker than Facebook and I couldn’t find a Twitter for ya. Just saw some new Bobcat SAL units going to a dealer on a flatbed as I was driving today. Didn’t know what they were and just did some research, they’re an interesting little loader product. Looking forward to your take on their new small articulated line. Maybe you’ll even be able to play with one this next snow season.

Jaymin Wells where are you from? How’s the serviceability on it? Is it tough to get parts?
@StefanBacon4 жыл бұрын
Some of these European machines are weird. Just ran a Wacker Neuson telehandler this week and it was mostly nice to run but controls were kind of weird. Boom retracts when lowering no matter what, even un-laden. Really difficult to use in tight spaces.
@ColtonBlumhagen2 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure they consider that a feature to make sure the fork position stays the same relative to the ground. Would be helpful if you do a lot of hoisting saw it in a video of there's but it really seems more like a hand holding feature for new operators.
@StefanBacon2 жыл бұрын
It's not proportional, it's just a safety feature to prevent tipping, as you say, for hand-holding. If it could be overridden with a "boom out" input, I could see it. It also is not managed, it retracts full speed all the way until the end stop, even if booming down very slowly and/or from a low angle already. It brings the forks MUCH closer to the machine in these cases.

hey stanley just got a question, might sound silly but i figured you would be the right person to ask, so ive been looking into a trade, and also as a builder and developer of property and many people have said builders and developers make the most and make good money and more money compared to trades, is this true what is your opinion on this? Thanks!
@CoastConcreteCorp4 жыл бұрын
The builders make more money because they take the most risk. With that being said, you could also lose your ass in a hurry. As a trade, you make less, however, your risk is considerably less. I’m a Concrete/excavation contractor now, but I am planning to become a developer in the future and hopefully do both.
