I've never used any oil on them to keep them form rusting i just wash and dry them as soon as I'm done with them so it is not necessary to oil them. great knives

@@zancrus9629 that’s what we plan on doing for these knives
@James-ke5sx3 жыл бұрын
@@zancrus9629 25+ Years ago I bought a 9'' Chinese made kitchen butcher knife, a cleaver and a 12'' steel sharpener. Till this day this is my only single butcher knife. Still razor-sharp and the original edge is still visible even though it is very small. Never needed to use a sharpening stone. I bought it where Chinese people buy their knives at a Chinese market and it says made in China in Chinese. What they sell to the west and what they keep for themselves as night and day . Western dealers would rather spend money on low end knives rather than high quality Chinese knives for profit. $1,000 will buy 1,000 items sold at $5@ or if you buy a $1,000 Chinese knife and sell it for $1,200 notice the difference in profit. 40 years ago I studied Japanese and Chinese wood joinery. $5,000US would get you a low end Shark tooth design saw. $10-15,000 for good quality made by a master. Kubey makes knives with steel from the USA, Germany and Japan and they are exactly the same quality as Coldsteel. I am a retired carpenter and I know tool quality very well and the Chinese are way ahead of USA made knives. Compare a $200 US made knife to a $200 Chinese made knife. No comparison not even in the same league. I have close to 300 knives, mostly Chinese high quality. Trust me they have better artistic design and every country on earth sends PHD level people to China to make high end everything like your iPhone. I sold half my tools about $20,000 worth after retiring, all made in china, all working perfectly after years of usage.

@19stacymoore Жыл бұрын
@@gregoryvanek9038, well, to be honest I don’t. I do know that when someone claims forging it is assumed that the item is forged by hand. That being said the polishing is only on the blade with the rest of the knife looking like it came out of the fire (rough or authentic looking). These knives appear to be polished from toe to tip. Normally that isn’t the case if you are claiming authentic hand forged blades.
