Fun fact about Faraya's boots: they were found on Classic and the highest offer there was only 2 SoJ, so he considered converting them and posted it on LoD to gauge interest. Then all the Asia guys swarmed on that thread (the definition of "tri-res" for Asian PvP is CR/LR/PR, not CR/LR/FR) and sent it the absolute moon with their offers. I think Faraya closed around 140k and converted them, and the Classic community wept that they lost such a gg item from circulation. Word has it if you scroll far enough down the trading sections, you can still hear the residual echoes of their lamentation to this day.

Paying that much for poison res is pretty bizarre; wouldn't it be far better to have Poison Length Reduction and the 3 normal elements??

Some of the American users were trying to flex at each other when it was in the high lowballs (10-30k, "omg it's not worth that much" "I can keep going" "I can keep going to 50k" etc etc), but then the Asian buyers showed up, a few at least, and even they tapped each other out. I think one of em had to quit at 110k, then it went on between the two of them into the 130s. It was crazy. I didn't think the value on PR was THAT high, (but they were still GFG 5 point boots otherwise), but it turns out Asia had different GM rule set that allows stacking poison/charms or something, I forget. But something that was BM on Americas. So here we are @_@

I remember playing LoD long ago and am good with remembering numbers. One day I sold near-perfect Waterwalks (which I didn't know was worth more since I was like 12) and realized later looking on a pricing list that they were worth around 15 Ist which was alot at the time. Think I got maybe 2 Ist for them

Phase blades cannot spawn ethereal, though crystal swords and dimensional blades can, so you could up those to a phase blade.

As a former classic PvPer on east, we had so many insane duped boots to choose from back in the day that had 45+ tri resistances, they were so busted. Rings and amulets too, too. Will never see them in this iteration of the game but that might be a good thing lol.

I am so glad insight can be made in a bow . Here I am Rocking 5th act in hell with nothing more than a low roll insight great bow and a low defense Peace armor . That armor is easy to make and the Valkyrie cast really helps give my merc a little more survivability . I can actually run without a merc with her popping in to help all the time . LoL !!

i knew spirit perfect roll was good, but not that expensive. I rolled a perfect when i played classic D2 like 10 years ago that i still remember. My friends thought i meant only the "important rolls" were perfect but nah, it was actually perfect on every single stat. Got a bunch of high runes but ultimately i got less than it was worth probably, but i was happy anyways!

There's always that one item that compels me to create a character based on it. It's always a weapon or for casters a godly rare circlet or something....Maybe I'm a noob but shields, boots, belts, or gloves never really make me say "ok it's time to make a [new char here]. still that is a crazy awesome pair of vans :)

About the rare pb in 2:59 ideally you would want to look for a rare crystal sword or dimensional blade that is eth and then up it to a pb. I remember in the original d2 lod pvp fury druids used those rare eth pbs with x2 40% edmg/15% was jewels in it. But I think fury's logic had changed before whirlwind.

You are talking quite often about the high price of the items which are related to PvP. If those items are found in hardcore mode, can the price of those be that high? Because hardcore characters will not pvp of course and I thought that items in hardcore have higher price than those in non-hardcore mode.

I've seen plenty of hc pkillers and a few hc dulelin games in US server and I'm willing to bet that's just the iceberg tip. The fact that hc is such a unique game in itself means I'd bet they'd pay even more for items like these...there are people out there with 400,000+ fg
