A few months ago, my daughter came on the show to discuss what parents and students need to know going into college. The day the episode released happened to be the first day of her second semester, when the full force of progressive woke-ism came crashing down on her. She is back on the show to discuss how she has been able to be a light in a dark world; how she was able to not use “preferred pronouns”; and what people need to know prior to entering school.

What I can gather from this conversation and my personal belief is that a solid relationship with your kids is the best antidote to the woke culture. Coop’s daughter obviously trusted her parents enough to come to them with her questions and knew she would get genuine attention and interest from them.

I love what Alex said at the end, about not being scared or apologetic, that God's design for masculinity and femininity is beautiful and for our good, and that truly loving ppl is being truthful. I think that's a huge concept for our young adults (and us older adults, too!) to grasp. Thank you for sharing this episode!

The Bible talks about in the end times that society is going to be like this 😖 Right is wrong, wrong is right, etc and it’s only going to get worse ☹️. But the thing to remember is that when society gets like this, Jesus will be coming back soon! What an amazing day that will be ❤

What a great episode! I just finished my first year of college too and it is kinda shocking how "tolerant" people and professors are of Christians. I actually got bullied pretty hard by staff for not wanting to put my pronouns on my ID card. Anyways, it is always a breath of fresh air to see young people like Alex stand up for our faith. Also I laughed way too hard at the dog joke!

Can you have Alex at the end of every Semester come on? I hope I am not the only one who feels invested and hopes she comes out of college strong. I had this stuff in one class in college and it messed me up, I can't imagine going in this much depth. It is also nice to see your respectful interactions.

Same here. My mom handed me a Christian music magazine and said I could pick a cd for myself. Saw that cool, aggressive look on the cover of Invincible and chose it. Been one of my favorite bands since, and seen them live several times. They have always delivered the absolute most entertaining live shows. Each one beat the last. I remember this girl being a little baby as well 😮

I'm a 34 year old who went to 2 different state/public universities and when I graduated the first time in 2011, and then went back in 2015, I saw a HUGE difference in the culture of the exact same school, and it was so foreign. And it was rampant in the second school I transferred to as well. I don't have kids yet, (just a husband and a cat), but I find your perspective Alex to be invaluable and super helpful in getting a glimpse into stuff that the youth at my church are hearing about that I never did when I was in high school and college. Not only that, I love hearing about how strong and mature you clearly are. You rock! Thank you!!

John, you and Corey have done an amazing job of raising an incredible young lady who unapologetically knows who she is in Christ. Thank you for having her on to bring awareness to the indoctrination that is the modern “education”institution. Although I don’t have kids, it’s important to understand the paradigm from which they are drawing their world view and how depraved it is.

I love listening to your podcast and I think this is a great topic. I am 21 years old and have similar experiences in the school system. Most of my solid Christian friends have deconstructed if not abandoned their faith altogether after going to college. I dropped out of a Christian college after I saw stuff start to change and multiple people changed their gender. After I dropped out I started to look at the origins of the education system. You don't have to go far until you discover names such as Paulo Freire and Herbert Marcuse. When you read their works, you realize that the education system was created to be a parallel counterfeit truth to scriptural truth. Their truth is not the Bible's truth. They use Philosophy (man's created interpretation of the world around them) to justify all of the things they teach in school. I have started to realize that a Christian's place is not in the school system because at it's root, it is man's thinking over God's. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-14: "and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you, so that you will behave properly toward outsiders and not be in any need." The system is set up so that most professions are gate kept with at least 2 years of indoctrination just to give you a piece of paper that will decide your future. It is better to become independent and work for yourself rather than be dependent on a company that may force you to bend your knee at any given moment. Christian parents are sending their children into packs of wolves and wondering why their child wants to change genders all of a sudden. If I had a daughter that was encountering men in the woman's bathroom, their would be no way she would be going back to that school. This is not a battle against flesh and blood. It is spiritual warfare. And I see parents sending their kids to the front line all too often.

Detransitioners often say the thing that helped them have the courage to leave the Trans “community” was a friend or family member who refused to feed into the delusion that they were the opposite sex. Alex is 100% correct. Disorder does not free you. The TRUTH, does. And Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. ❤️✝️

John, if you see this, could you please pass this on to your daughter? (this applies to any parents of college children) I'm a young guy who finished college recently, but only just when campuses started to get overt. I never have been one to "enjoy conflict" (e.g. at home), but I often found myself as one of the very few to stand up to radical professors or ideologies in class. It was nice to hear that Alex talked with the prof(s) one-on-one; that's what I did (not always about the stuff they spouted) and it served to develop a positive rapport with them. If I wanted to go back to college, I would "love" to challenge these profs on their ideologies and stand up for Truth, even if only to cause other students to stand up, too. So, I encourage and implore Alex (and all other Christian students) to simply speak up. God will give you the words to say and will guide you through the conversation that likely will ensue. Don't let stuff slide by. If you don't speak during class, approach the prof afterwards. Please please please do so.

I am a college student who has encountered some of this same stuff as a Christian. Something I really get hung up on is how to approach a friend who is transgender about the truth in a respectful way. Like if someone chooses pronouns that are different than their biological gender, I don’t feel right using those pronouns for them because I know it’s not right, but I also want to be respectful to them and show them love. If I straight up tell the that they are wrong and I will not be using those pronouns for them, they will be offended and walk away. Then Jesus’ love and truth can not be shown to them because they are now offended and hate Christian’s even more. I don’t want to agree with them and act like their lifestyle is ok but I also don’t want to pusher them further away from God. I want to be respectful, but also speak truth.

I’m just gonna speak here as a conservative Christian and a vegan … I have been vegan for 10 years and I’ve been a Christian my whole life, although I would say that I was born again after my daughter was born 10 1/2 years ago … she has been raised vegan. My adult children/sons we’re not raised vegan. I’m probably the only vegan conservative Christian that I’ve ever actually met. I think I met one other family online. I just want to say that I don’t believe that animals are completely the same as us BUT, they do feel pain. And what happens in a slaughterhouse on a mass scale is disgusting and disturbing. It’s a breeding ground for disturbed individuals. That’s why I’m vegan. I definitely don’t believe that people should be having sex with animals. They are on no level the same as we are. Haha I’m not vegan, because I believe climate change is a thing because I don’t . I do it strictly because I cannot un see what I’ve seen. And I don’t believe that this is what God intended for animals to have to endure. I guess I just needed to put my two cents in here because I think people should consider the fact that there may be some Christian conservatives who are vegan and I find it unfair to assume that we’re all liberals I love this podcast, and Alex is a genius! I’m so grateful for you and her sharing this information ! My daughter attends liberty University online Academy, and I use a lot of this material to help her understand what God says is right and what God says is wrong . So thank you!

Totally agree. I shared my home with a pot bellied pig for 13 years. He was very intelligent and lived his life in the house. He loved music and was capable of planning...understood that the furnace had to be on a few minutes before the blower kicked on, etc. Too many examples to list, but after this experience, it's hard to fathom how anyone can think factory farming or any situation where animals are abused is ok. I do not believe that God intended for us to cause the animals under our dominion to endure the suffering and atrocities of the current meat/industrial complex. Hunting and families raising animals on their own and harvesting them humanely is one thing, but the dairy and meat factories are atrocities for sure. That said, I am as far from liberal as you can get when it comes to everything else.
