Skillet is a classic example to not judge outward appearance becayse what’s important is in their hearts! Their music touches the masses.kinda like a bridge for those who have a hard time connecting with “religion” and sharing there is hope no matter how much pain you are going through. And then they are shining examples of strong believers. I connect with their songs regardless of where I am in my walk with Jesus.

Great message, I love Skillet, they rock, they are not ashamed of the Gospel, and bring the Word every time I listen to them. “If you believe what you like in the Gospel, and reject what you don't like, it is not the Gospel you believe, but yourself.” - Saint Augustine

Also sorry for the typo in your name, I got paralyzed 4 1/2 years ago from the chest down and I have died four times since being paralyzed

@@wesleysalway9448 You're very strong. Wonderful people! ❤️ I believe God is with you in everything, even in difficult moments. 🙏🏻 Skillet's music, and I think you're going to like it. I was a teenager that I started listening to, and their songs helped me a lot. ❤️

I like how he speaks in the loving manner that's inviting in love, it's helpful & a good example of how to approach the people we may be needing to engage with to bring them back to the biblical truths.

I love how absolutely humble Skillet is but so bold and confident in their faith. My favorite thing about John and the Cooper Stuff podcast, too, is that he’s always up front with his brokenness and confusion, it’s refreshing getting to hear a Christian perspective from another layperson like him! Ironically, people I know always tell me that Skillet is so famous and popular but when it comes down to it, their music isn’t nearly as recognizable as most of the other Christian bands out there.

This show on Fairmont was my children's first concert (ages 9, 6, and 5) and we were very front of the stage and they still talk about this show! We loved it. We love the band and we love the message! God is good.

I remember seeing Skillet and a little town called San Angelo Texas. It was just a local youth rally with about 3,000 people at most. They were the musicians for the weekend, and it was around 1999. They didn't have enough of their own songs at the time, so they were singing a lot of other bands music as covers. One of the covers that they did was a song that went like "holiness, holiness is what I long for, Holiness is what I need, holding this is what you've given this heart to for me" They had that iconic skillet pan album for sale, but there was really nothing else besides hats and shirts. I never thought they'd get as big as they got, as popular. But I'm very glad that they did, because they did some sincere ministering from the heart the one time I got to see them.

When God laid out the plan for your life, He carefully studied it. He thought about what you would need and what it would take to get you there. Then He matched you with your world. He gave you the talent you need, the creativity, the strength. You didn’t get shortchanged. You are good enough, you are talented enough, you are smart enough, you are attractive enough. You have been fearfully and wonderfully made.

saying you don't have any rights anymore when becoming a Christian, is completely nonsense. Submission to the will of God, does not mean we give up the right of free will. He protects that. He interacts with us that way.
@shae4822 жыл бұрын
In a way it’s kinda true, some of these “rights” may be sinful actions or sinful nature and not just basic free will stuff. These acts (depending on what they are) are usually things we have the right to do, but when we truly become Christians we have these “rights” taken away so that we may Live to glorify God. Yes we have free will and yes God doesn’t take that away. But through him he takes away some of the things that that we as humans would consider rights, sinful stuff like pornography.
