The revolution is being televised! The quiet parts are being said out loud, Chicago: looting or reparations? 2+2=5 Twitter controversy? And the good news: in the midst of Post-truth chaos, we can have peace with God.

Thank you John! Bring truth out with the word of God. So many “Christians” who don’t read their bibles and can’t be the light. But they are in church Sunday morning and don’t really know God. But who’s teaching them?? I agree with you -we do need a revival! It’s so important to read our bibles. 🙏🏼💕

I just starting binging Cooper stuff and this episode brought back hard memories. Growing up just outside Grand Rapids, Michigan, that was (and still is) considered home. It was so surreal then, on my 59th birthday, May 30, 2020, I watched in shock as rioters burned, looted and destroyed much of downtown following a George Floyd- BLM protesters. I was sure the GRPD had riot gear, but it was surreal seeing them dressed in riot gear on streets I have traveled many times. I was so pleased to see REAL Grand Rapidians come out en mass the next morning with clean up equipment. Many of the protesters even showed up to make clear the rioters were not part of them. Still, this marked how this insanity has hit home.

As an engineering student (many many moons ago) I was shown two videos in my “Introduction to Engineering” class. I think back to when radical gender ideology really started to take hold. If they can make me believe that 'transgenderism' actually exists; if they can make me believe that a man can actually 'transition' into a woman or vice versa; they can make me believe anything they want. And if they can make me believe anything they want . . . they can do to me whatever they want. This is about POWER. If I give someone else the power over me to dictate what is real or not real at any given moment, I'm giving them the power to do to me whatever they want. And I 'aint having it. Nope. I've known for a long time what bad actors inhabit the pomo world. And I'm not giving them that kind of power. Never. Ever.

I genuinely enjoy these videos. They are helping me understand what is going on as I’m outside of the homeland and only get glimpses of what is taking place with no context. Your videos are brining out the context. If the viewers step back a few steps and see the context of what is taking place in the context of the global picture you all will be astonished. You do not need to knock yourself regarding your education levels. Chin up (and show off that beard). I pray your mother-in-law is doing fine and that Korey is coping well. Here is something for her to read if she is looking for something. www.storytold.media. Looking forward to the remix release next month. Keep your hands on the plow, bro. Jim

Ya know most people say we hated Obama cuz he was black. I didn't like Obama as president cuz he took the wound of racism and cut in deeper into it with a saw.... What was reduced to racists who wore there racist beliefs on there shoulders became having a skintone now is what makes you racist and it started when he said "Rascism is in America's DNA" and because he was black it's was dubbed racist to disagree with that.

The first link in a simple search, here is the first paragraph: Numbers or symbols used for counting have existed since man learned to count. Archaeologists and historians estimate that numbers were first used around 32,000 years ago. They base this theory on archaeological findings such as bones and rocks with marks on them. These may have been counting or tally signs used to keep track of time or quantities of objects, such as food or livestock. Link: www.whoinventedit.net/who-invented-numbers.html

This woman in Chicago is wrong, we found out later during the riots where car lots were torched, their insurance DID NOT cover the damages, guess she doesn't get how insurance works. Now, if these people broke into a Kroger or a Casco to steal food because they were hungry, okay, might turn my head a little bit, but how is a pair of Nike's or Prada bags ensure you have food on the table? Society has lost it's every loving mind. :(

hi John was wondering your thoughts on new age spirituality/ mysticism and why so many christians are being caught up into it, seems to me that they are replacing the truth of Gods word for experience it kind of resembles the philosophy of the world of truth is relative and personal experience is all that matters can the two co exist

Love your podcast/KZbin videos and very thankful for your voice. Also LOVE Skillet music but that goes without saying. Your messages are very encouraging during these times. The only item I'd have to challenge here, and the only reason for even bringing it up is it seems to becoming a new "catch phrase" within some Christian circles is the notion of being like God. At 15:56 you say: "The only way to be in the presence of God is to be like God." This is a loaded statement especially when the bible is clear there is none like God nor will there ever be anyone like God. It begs the question, so are the angels that are in God's presence like God? Of course not. Jeremiah 10:6 "There is none like you, O Lord; you are great, and your name is great in might." In 1 John 3:2 it does state: "Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is." This verse however, has nothing to do with being like God. We will never be omnipresent. We will never be omniscient. We will never be all powerful. We will never be righteous on our own merits. We will never be Holy in ourselves. I understand what you were saying as we can only stand before a Holy God because of the substitutionary atonement made possible by Jesus Christ. He makes us Holy. He is our righteousness. However, it does concern me when I hear Christian influencers dare I say stretch the Word of God to say something it's not. The bible is clear. We are created eternal beings. That's one facet of being made in Gods image. We have a soul/mind, spirit, and body which again is part of being made in Gods image. Once this fleshly body dies our spirit goes on either to be in Gods presence or in total darkness until judgement. At judgement/ the resurrection our spirits will be reunited with our resurrected bodies to spend all of eternity in either heaven or hell. At this time, once we, the followers of Jesus are in heaven we will still not be like God. We will be righteous still because of Jesus. We will be able to be in the Fathers presence because of Jesus. The only aspect that is like God will be our eternal presence which is how we were created. Maybe it's splitting hairs, but the phrase, "the only way to be in the presence of God is be like God." doesn't sit well in my spirit. God is God and there is none like Him nor will there ever be any like Him. We should revere Him and fear Him. We are His creation and we will always be His creation. Created to bring Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords all praise that is due Him. We will stand in Gods presence one day because of the death burial and resurrection of Jesus and the gift of grace from God, but we will never ever be like Him, ever. Keep up the awesome work.

To me, being like God means behaving his character. Being a Christian means Christ-like. So us, Christians, should act like Christ. It is just my two cents. Interesting point you made.
@gcpsbert71984 жыл бұрын
@@HPTFan I appreciate your comment. For clarification Christian actually means to be a follower of Jesus Christ, christianos in the Greek. And you are correct, as followers of Jesus Christ we should strive every day to be more like Him. Allow the Spirit of God to transform us each and every day. However, I believe John was referencing something different. Perhaps he simply meant in order to be in Gods presence we must be born again which is correct. I simply believe it is a stretch to say we become like God when we are born again. In fact, that sounds blasphemous to me. When we repent and are born again we become a new creation, but it must be underlined that we remain a creation. God is the creator. The Author and Finisher of our faith. We at no point will ever be like God. It's just not biblical. While it may sound good as it tickles our ears, however it's little things that can lead to heresy. I just wish he had used a different phrase. Take care and God bless you.

He probably made mistake. It happens. You’ll never if he is going to change my mind. My mind has changed over the years after learning more about the Bible and God. It’s a journey for sure. Be humble, brethren. Grace be with you. 😌
