Great video. Going to be an English teacher. Can't help suggesting that you change your "you're" from the pronoun-verb contraction for "you are" to the possessive I believe you intended, "your".

The answer to 'boring teacher lectures' shouldn't be for the teacher to talk less. It should be for the teacher to talk BETTER.

Heterogeneous groups work better for me. If weaker learners are placed together in a group, they need more teacher help, they waste time if teacher does not supervise them, discipline issues come to the fore, they lag behind. I have tried this and i teach 45 third graders.

I would like to cite this video in a paper. What additional credentials should I mentioned about the producer of this video?
@TeachingsinEducation5 жыл бұрын
nisuda, don’t worry about citing the producer or anything like that. If you’re using APA format, just the channel, year the video was made, title, and date retrieved if I remember correctly. That’s how I cite videos in my college papers
@nisuda5 жыл бұрын
Yes, but for my dissertation proposal there are additional requirements to support validity of sources. I am in need to provide a video source, I find yours appropriate. If you don't mind PM me with more details about your organization and research based publications. That would be appreciated. You may send me a private message.

Child Geniuses Watching SBS’s program “Child Genius” is like watching Gladiators in the Colosseum trying to kill one another. It is cruel. Can it be changed to a new format, with a new title: “Child Geniuses”? Children are to compete as teams of two. They (members of a team) stand together at the podium, each with a keyboard to give answers independently. If the answers are the same and correct, they get 2 points. If the answers are not the same but one of them is correct, they have 3 seconds to make a change. With a right change, they get 2 points; with a wrong change, they get zero points; with no change, they get 1 point. No children are to be sent home midway. At the end of the competition, teams are divided into three groups. Every child is decorated a Genius with a medal to match (Gold, Silver or Bronze) with names - theirs and their partner’s. Conclusion: Is it better for all to win than only one to win? Which is better: “Child Genius” or “Child Geniuses”? Colin Leung 20 Konrads Ave, Newington 2127 , Australia Colinleung7@gmail.com

He says, “boring teacher lectures”, and everyone is trying to figure out why our education in this country is in the toilet and teachers are leaving in droves. It’s because of the bad attitude towards teachers like this.
