Coopers Draught - Returning to brewing after a break

after a few months off brewing I really needed to get back into it so grabbed this quickly and threw it together

Should be nice brew mate. I just bottled a batch of Coopers Real Ale which was an expired tin, I think it should be ok though.This morning I picked up some English Bitter , I enjoyed the last batch of that I brewed.I have never tried the cloth method with the hops , even though have read about it so as you have had no problems I may give it a go , previously I have used one of those zippered laundry bags from the two dollar shop and that worked out well.Good luck with this batch. ,

yeah I used a washing bag once but it was too big! easier to just use a chux then chuck it when done!

How come you're adding extra dextrose? it only told me to add the brew enhancer, wouldn't that mean you need more yeast or the yeast might die? just wondering for my next brew. Also is adding hops what you're supposed to do? It didnt say to do that either, Im kind of a noob lol. Thanks mate

all good man. the extra dex just gives the yeast a bit more sugar to turn into alcohol, so you get a stronger beer. hops aren't required but can add a bit of flavour and/or aroma. got a new video coming today. total bloody disaster brew day haha

use sterile cheese cloth if your gonna throw a bag in your brew with hopps.

you know me man stupid and honest :) but seriously, if you use soap rinse very thoroughly (as I do). not really had any major issues doing this.
