Thank you for watching Dan and greetings from the CACV RR.. Absoulety you just have to see what Frank Garon and Steve Barry do, I know in the future they will plan on more charters here on the CACV, as what the President of the RR "Bruce Hodges" said they will eventually expand operations to the south from Milford as well.

Thank you very much Just A Random Railfan, really this photo charter wouldn’t have been possible without the event organizers or everyone that is involved with the railroad. Everyone from the president of the railroad Bruce Hodges to all of the volunteers. Originally we were only supposed to have the freight train with one passenger car at the end. Well to Bruce that wasn’t good enough, he gave us a separate passenger train for us to photograph and ride in, which as you saw no passenger car but a caboose at the end of the freight train. The CACV railroad is 100% a volunteer operation a real operating museum.

That's a neat little railroad there

Thank you for watching Nate, yup their track is right around 15 1/2 miles down to the NS interchange but the track is in rough shape going down to there, but they are really friendly and they want to be noted as an operating museum they want as much as possible for most of their equipment to be operational pretty good for 100% volunteer..

@@LibertyRailfan you’re welcome. I’ve seen those kinds of tracks and makes you wonder how does the train stay on it. I don’t blame them for wanting to have majority of their equipment working
@LibertyRailfan Жыл бұрын
@@NBVideosPresents they keep the track that they use in good enough condition for I'd 20 mph max in some places.

@@LibertyRailfan I won't expect to see them operate no more than that if they are a small railroad

Nice Adam. I must say only the dispatcher and crew knows what's going on 'cause I sure don't. Those Cooperstown and Charlotte coaches are beautiful. Love the Delaware and Hudson Caboose. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

@@LibertyRailfan Yeah Adam I have no experience with locomotive identification but the power pulling those coaches was really nice too

@@eddie_wolf_ same here in no way I am an aficionado with loco types/identification, yes I agree all of CACV's loco and rolling stock is very nice.

Dispatcher? What dispatcher. As for power that day, the freight was pulled by CACV (Ex-CN) 8223, the last running MLW S7 switcher to our knowledge. The passenger train power was CACV 102, aka Delaware and Hudson Alco S4 3050, and CACV 3051 (Ex-CN 8181), an MLW S4 which was dead in tow. We're always happy to show our equipment off. While we offer alot of family friendly events to pay the bills, we are at the end of the day a museum and we take alot of pride in having operational displays, such as this. So many other museums are content with nice paint and wheels that don't turn.

@@OSTycoon everybody was great and totally awesome! From Bruce to you Carl to all the others it really shows off... As you said not many other operations/museums have anything that works. You guys also go above and beyond to totally make the experience extra special...
