Klopp isn't and wasn't Coote's boss, so that argument - that you're allowed call your boss/colleague a c**t - doesn't really fly. He's meant to impartially judge sporting competition. It's more like a magistrate being caught on camera saying he dislikes a particular lawyer, the clients he represents, and everyone from the City. If he can't be impartial, he can't do the job. The PGMOL's response to this has been much as one would expect from a self-regulatory body which is more interested in protecting it's own reputation than dealing with the obvious issues extant in the body.

@tk2097 I'm not interested in litigation via KZbin comments with a stranger, but when your "buddy" gives an "in conclusion" to sum up the lessons of the night, includes you in his "we", and you don't refute it, indeed your only response is to warn people not to "send this to anyone"... I'm afraid it's a little more than guilt by association. It's a shared publication. If you want to play the "legal" game.

The one stand out moment for me is Pickford and VVD injury. Likely to be close to when the video was recorded. Coote should have recommended Pickford to be sent off but “forgot” the rules. This video should bring that incident massively in focus

The 3 red flags with Coote were 1. Saying Liverpool were sh*t 2. Calling Klopp a German **** 3. Nodding when his friend said "we hate Scousers". No way back from that. SKY have Dermott, South Yorkshire Cop Webb and Dean on their payroll. They were always going to turn this back on Liverpool. As for the England drop outs... Brilliant 😂😂😂 Scouse not English.

It's NOT the same as a general workplace. Or a chat in the pub with your mates ... The point EVERYONE seems to be missing is that they are part of a PROFESSIONAL ASSOCAITION! Does no one who isn't a professional ( engineer, doctor, lawyer, etc. ) understand what that implies about the importance personal and organizational integrity? Does no one understand that this situation is virtually identical to players or anyone associated with PRO football making bets on matches ? How THAT is ALSO a matter of game integrity and this is why anyone suspected of doing it is investigated and suspended immediately ? I have been an official for baseball at a high level and I can tell you that , at least in that association, everyone took this notion of professionalism seriously and was well able to set aside any biases against particular ; head coaches, players, teams, jurisdictions, etc.. I can genuinely tell you that the vest majority of those officials I knew well was simply trying to do the best job possible and be professional. There was actually quite a bit of internal competition to be as competent and "good" at it as possible. So you got the plumb big regional championship games. With those assignments largely being very much based on merit and not how long you had been mates with the head umpire in charge of that event. The PGMOL is clearly so far off that attitudinal standard it's a farcical joke, not fit for purpose, and needs to be binned.

The big issue with refereeing today is that standards are low and clearly not performance managed. The amount of shockers that happen on the regular - for all teams - and missed by VAR for some reason is the issue. There's no transparency & gaslighting about why something was/wasn't given. When the standards are so low and there's no honesty about referees cocking calls up, this is exactly how you end up arriving through a process of elimination that there is broad corruption and it's not randomly distributed. There has to be accountability for the FA, PGMOL on these things.

Sorry lads you have missed something altogether. The talk about dealing with this (the Coote/Klopp thing) in another company environment by moving people around, completely misses the point that this is exactly what PGMOL have done. We have only had him as the ref in 3 PL games in 4 years. My suspicion on this is that PGMOL have long been aware of Coote's views and stance toward Liverpool and Klopp. That is even more damning ....

Very good discussion lads. PGMOL is supposed to be a professional body but it operates like a mates club. The comparison with the MET is spot on. Great story about the Leverkusen coverage in Florida, with a bunch of scousers crowded around an Ipad. My sister lives there and is a red, and has Peacock. The elite footy coverage in USA is even more insane than UK. I live in Thailand, and the coverage is way better and either free or very cheap. 3 am kick offs for mid week games are a struggle, but i never miss a game.

How is it even possible the integrity of the competition remains if he’s allowed to officiate again?. I’m struggling to stay a supporting of my beloved Liverpool as the league and the competition as a whole is damaged?. The PGMOL make most games dreadful to watch?. The fact that Liverpool V Everton has been allowed to become the contest with the most red cards suggests less care an attention is being given to officiating those two teams properly. I have always felt that the referees have "allowed a few bad challenges until someone gets injured" instead of stamping it out early and reigning players in. The Coote On Camera series has dispelled a few myths about his ability to remain impartial and fair to all people participating in the Premier League.

Their narrative that the "scape goating of refs is a fan problem" is the most hypocritical gas lighting nonsense I've ever heard. In the wake of the Cootes video it's virtually impossible to look at various decisions over the last few years, involving Cootes and others, and avoid the conclusion that those decisions were influenced by something beyond 20:10 the pitch. No-one who saw the Rodri handball could have thought the ball hit his shoulder or that he didn't intentionally move his arm, no-one could credibly say Odegaard didn't scoop the ball away from Salah. These are just a couple of our examples, there are others. And other clubs suffer too when all almost all of us watching the footage come to the opposite conclusion to the refs. This has got to fixed as it affects titles and relegations. Webb needs to go and someone, not necessarily even a referee, but with a track record of instituting change within an organisation.

I think it is very plausible that he may have been blackmailed to throw games, and this is certainly an interesting take, and if this is so he has a choice now, does he reveal to the Police that he has been blackmailed into throwing games and was outed when he cost a betting gang potential milions of pounds, or is he scared shitless that if he grasses them up he will be bumped off as payback... His mate is a former cricketer, it makes me think that cricket games have also been thrown and that maybe both Coote and his mate were blackmailed by a betting syndicate, it is quite possible that both are victims of blackmail here, or, he may have been the one doing the blackmailing after his own professional career failed, but that is totally possible by all means but I must sttress my earlier point that he too could also be a ictim and not the perpetrator but all possibilities must be considered! Put it this way, what may have transpired was Coote was just a foolish man who had personal bias but who kept his own professional integrity intact during games until he was caught on camera and then blackmailed to throw games, his last game during the Liverpool v Villa game may have been one such game where he was meant to make sure Liverpool lost but Liverpool scored after he called no foul and Liverpool went on to win which cost the blackmailer a lot of money and the video was released due to his failure to deliver the desired result. Now this to me opens the possibility of four years of throwing games, and not just Liverpool games, there may be far more questionable results here to name but one thing I can say is that if this is the case then he has not necessarily thrown games through biasness, well maybe a little, but not the type of bias we have heard touted, more a biasness of for his and/or the good of his family if there were personal threats involved so as to keep him from reporting being blackmailed.

I'm sorry but this whole "it's Liverpool bad" and how you lot get the most tribalism sounds so bizarre to me. Like I'm not trying to be funny, I was watching this to get some opinions about this whole Coote thing but then you start with this pity party it's ridiculous the reality is this... Wolves have had so many shocking and horrible decisions go against them, Gary O'Neil constantly was having a go at the PGMOL and VAR and I bet you lot never talked about that, I get your a Liverpool pod but if you really want to see changes in football you gotta all band together, instead you go on this whole "it's only ever us" and poor us but the reality is Liverpool have also had their far share of decisions go FOR them... the Villa game where Coote was just the ref there was an incident Villa could've had a pen but you got away with it. Tribalism is in all of football it doesn't just affect Liverpool... you lot are tribal as well, Arsenal have had their fair share of bad decisions going against them but all fans want to do is say "get over it" or they're crybabies those Arsenal fans. You're doing the very thing you say your club gets... you're being tribal. Pick any team in the Prem and they can tell you they've had their issues with refs and VAR. But it's not important to you because it's not Liverpool. All the fans got to get together and try to force some change within PGMOL and how officiating is the worst int he so called "best league in the world"
