Police officers have a shitty, terrible job, I totally agree. They're also compensated piss-poorly for it. It's 100% the type of people who almost always perform that particular job, and we can change it with votes and the stroke of a pen, overnight. I should mention, all you fucking sidewalk lawyers 'exercising your rights' (regardless of whether you do indeed know said rights), filming and antagonizing a very powerful class of people we already know to be largely unstable and armed and posting your 'courageous exposes of the tyranny of the 'man'' are far from faultless in this plague yourselves. Police that shouldn't really be police officers view you as a direct threat, and it's making it worse and might very well get you killed.

Reminds of the time I was at college doing homework on my laptop in the hallway and someone called the police on me for being a "suspicious" person. I was surrounded at gunpoint from both directions. That same student called the police on me a total of 6 times and each time I was just working on assignments like anyone else. As soon as that student saw me anywhere, he would whip out his phone and call the police. After the first time the police figured out what was going on and only confronted me that one time. I still have some PTSD over that series of events.
