Cop Knocks on British Prime Minister's Door to Let Cat in Out of the Rain

A police officer standing guard at the British Prime Minister's residence was kind enough to let her cat in out of the rain. Larry is the resident cat and "Mouser in Chief" at 10 Downing Street in London. He mostly wanders around outside and greets the guests, but when the rain starts to fall Larry heads indoors. I think the term flat came before apartment - it's from the old English way of speaking; people in america (i believe that's where it started) called flats apartments. Well, he wasnt adopted as a personal pet. He was hired as Chief Mouser, which is an ancient and venerated job going back a couple of centuries at least. Fun fact: the officers that guard outside have the instruction to knock on the door if Larry asks to go in. The cat Simply sits in front of the door staring at it. And if he stays there for a bit, then the officer has to knock on the door, so that the people inside can open for Larry. I've never admitted this before, but I used to do this as a kid with random people's houses. If I saw their cat wanting to come in, I'd knock their door and then run and hide. I did this numerous times with the same cats. I always wondered if some of the owners legit thought their cat somehow learnt to knock on the door 😂
