What's messed up is that singing a cover is actually okay now according to Nintendo. After they removed the Nintendo's Creators Program a while ago, they became much more lenient and now allow you to use footage from games that are released (no leaks) and official images, and as long as you don't use these things to actually sell something (no selling a cover of a Nintendo track), then it's okay as long as you add your own creative input, as opposed to posting videos of cutscenes or music tracks only.

This is the reason why KZbin and its copyright system is terrible nowadays. There’s a bunch of people falsely claiming videos when no matter what it is and regardless of how much time and effort they put in to make the videos popular. I know a few users had to deal with it, including a demo knight main who got falsely claimed by someone exploiting the system for Sea of Thieves. Listen though, this song is really good but I hate that KZbin is shaming people like you while still providing ads to channels that don’t do anything but make worse content.
