A Tribute to Charles Martinet (Super Mario 64 Staff Roll WITH LYRICS)

As you may have heard, Nintendo has announced that Charles Martinet has made the decision to retire from his roles as the Mario Bros., Wario, and Waluigi, but will continue his tenure with the company as their brand-new "Mario Ambassador." For over thirty years, Martinet has inspired countless players around the world with his positive, cheerful attitude and his wonderful portrayal of our favorite portly plumber.
Today, I'd like to celebrate his legacy as he passes on the torch to whoever will voice the Mario Bros. from Super Mario Bros. Wonder onward.

cried like a baby through the whole thing. cried on and off since i heard the news yesterday (who know how i'll react when the inevitable happens.....) didn't expect it to hit so hard. my twinbro and i grew up with Charles, and my twinbro passed in 2009, so a lot of Nintendo stuff makes me emotional as it is. but this credits piece especially does, so with the lyrics.... wonderful job. thank you for this. Martinet fully deserves this! He was so loyal to Mario as the offical voice, proud of his work, loved sharing stories and saying hello to fans in the voices. To think he went in the role for so long and did what no other VA for video games have done. He deserves all the respect for all he’s done in regard to voice acting. I seriously wish him luck in his new role and to his successor (Kevin Afghani) too!!

This song is so heart touching and emotional. The fact its Staff Role, by far one of the most soft, kind, and bubbly credits fits Martinet. I am proud to say that I cried when watching. Even on rewatches and resings I still cry (Even while typing this) as this is the perfect sendoff tribute to such an amazing man. Thank you Juno and for Martinet, if he ever does see this.
