The cop recognizes that the robber gave the incorrect surname and immediatly turns around to shoot/threaten him. It’s a very, very unrealistic action to do in that scenario. It doesn’t even make sense as people get names, especially surnames wrong all the time.

There’s hella stories of cops making welfare checks or checking in on a domestic dispute & then they shoot the house owners dog because “there life was threatened.” Not to mention the last cop that went viral for emptying his magazine into his own squad car after an acorn fell next to him. There’s Also the fact that no state police will take you if you do *too well* in the police academy. Yea, that’s a thing.
