Copart: Found a cheap Subaru WRX STI and MK5 VW Golf R32 to buy inspired by Samcrac

In todays video Nickztech and I go to the Salvage auction to look at a few cheap sports cars to drive this winter. We came here to look at a 2008 Volkswagen Golf R32 and a 2006 Subaru WRX STI. The main goal here is to see the condition of the cars before bidding. I bid on both cars but only won one from today's video. Which do you like better, the MK5 Volkswagen Golf R32 or the Subaru WRX STI?

That annoyed me too... Most of the time (well at least to my knowledge) turbo vehicle exhausts are stated as exhaust mani, dump pipe to Catback.... never heard it referred to had headers on a turbo car hahaha

Shaun Hands every car has headers, i replied regarding to the headers they falsely pointed out. There’s Unequal length (which come factory) and equal length (aftermarket usually for better performance and unique sound) It’s a subie thing.

1. all of the EJ motors in the wrx and sti have unequal length headers for the subie rumble 2. hopefully this is tuned for the blow-off valve (instead of the stock recirculatory valve) and exhaust if it is more than just a cat back 3. those are wrx seats in the back

That r32 has (optional extras) Front xenon lights Leather interior Stereo Climate control Steering wheel-multifunctional+paddles Rear trunk shelf net Missing Rear r32 lights (cherry tint) maybe because of it being in states Not sure on the clocks/dials could be gti not r32 also they’re the mfd clocks which are also an option Nice

as someone who owns a r32 its a great car that can make a lot of power once boosted. hpa turbo kit with supporting mods will get you around the 600+ hp range while going custom can get you close to 1000 hp

The airbag light is for the passenger airbag there recalled from subaru

The airbag light could be a P0026, passenger airbag indicator light. My airbag light never went off for the Takata airbags on my car. I have a P0026 that came on a while after I got them replaced though. Its a common problem

Too much frame damage, there's a limit of fixing such problems. Panels are the easiest to replace obviously.

KKAHT never said it does. But unless you’re making 400hp then you’re just loosing boost. The engine is stock except for the bov... so hence that subie is loosing boost bc of it. Which means it’s loosing potential power and functionality. You probably got a bov in your stock subie huh? 🤣

Michael Morales do you know for a fact it’s stock do you see a downpipe any injectors or some TGV deletes you don’t know if it’s tuned or not a bov will always cause a boost leak, if it’s protuned then a bov is no Issue.

​@@bradycarroll6665 I know but a Hawk eye/Blob eye STI has a almost Subaru blue insert in the back seats. That one doesn't it has normal WRX seats in the back not WRX STI seats. The WRX and the WRX STI had different seats. I'm not saying it isn't a WRX STI it could just be the old rears got ruined and they didn't want to pay the extra money for the WRX STI back seats and went to WRX seats. After the Hawk eye WRX STI the interiors became a lot closer to each other in fact you can option a new WRX with the same interior as a WRX STI would have but back is 2003-2007 you only had that almost Subaru blue seats. The only Hawk eye WRX STI that didn't have the blue seats was the limited those had black leather seats and were limited to 500 cars.
